Lots of the menu not of available, hunters chicken dry and tastless, like chewing sawdust, Lots of ridiculous microwave chips and some not cooked bits of tomatoes service at the bar is awful needs a local drinker to shout for service, probably one of the worst places I have been, sounds like it's my problem that their suppliers are rubbish

Thought we would give this pub a visit after a Sunday walk in the local area - wish we read the reviews first. Unfortunately, we were not impressed at all Sunday lunch was Turkey or beef our party had both choices. Veg was cold, Yorkshire puds were like pancakes, stuffing was dry, horseradish and cranberry sauce advertised with meal but we had to ask and arrived with no serving spoon. Very disappointed and won’t be back.

Lovely welcome. Good pub food. Decent size portions. A bit of a wait between courses but everything piping hot! Would definitely return! Service with a smile!

What is going on with this place. Used to be a great little quiet pub, but in last couple of years it’s had more landlords than customers. Come on Marstons, sort it out. Now it’s got more wannabes in change. Place has gone

What a beautiful hidden gem we have found. Booked our table, a warm welcome greeted us, they serve roast dinner only Sunday, which is just what we required as intrepid tourists. They checked my allergies and specially catered without any fuss and a smile, my potatoes, carrots and bto, especially cooked for me minus butter. Huge portions the likes I haven't seen in a while. Kept checking all was good, kept us topped up on drinks throughout the meal. Great venue what's not yo like, recommend you book your place on Sunday, ample parking, thoroughly recommend you visit.

The staff were nice, but the food was poor. Only the Sunday dinner was available, with no main menu. There was no vegetarian option, and only two of the meat options. Both of which were dry and unappetising. There were no side dish options available. The food was fine, but very bland. Likely won’t come back.

Tbh looking at the reviews I was a little apprehensive but after a nice warm welcome I found the beer, gammon, egg and chips were all spot on. You can also take dogs

Nice pub and staff were friendly, just disappointed with the food. There was hardly anything on the menu available. And when the meal came out it’s was missing items felt a little ripped off the hunters chicken was nice but the fries were very greasy. Unfortunately won’t be eating there again. But definitely for a drink as great bar.
