What a beautiful hidden gem we have found. Booked our table, a warm welcome greeted us, they serve roast dinner only Sunday, which is just what we required as intrepid tourists. They checked my allergies and specially catered without any fuss and a smile, my potatoes, carrots and bto, especially cooked for me minus butter. Huge portions the likes I haven't seen in a while. This pub is under very new management and we called in for lunch while in the area on holiday. Our meal was really lovely and the manager and staff are so friendly, would love to return and would highly recommend, veg chilli was to die for and very flavoursome. Thank you Carla and staff xxxx
As we had family staying and live local we decided to have a meal at at the Poachers Barn. We arrived early evening on Friday. The staff were very helpful sorting a table out for us in the bar area. On ordering food we were told several of the menu choices were not available. Not a problem so I personally ordered the gammon.
