7 The Arcade, KnottingleyThis is the place to go if you want a decent curry. The food is exceptional and consistently so, always being very fresh and flavourful. The service is the best, very friendly, helpful and professional. There is a great variety of food which can be tailored to meet individual requirements by a talented chef. This is a take your own alcohol place which is also very useful. It is also cash only but there is a cash machine a couple of doors down. I highly recommend the Ruchee for small intimate couples and also larger parties. They are also very good with children.

Premier Inn Pontefract North hotel
Ai Business Park, 84 Knottingley Rd, PontefractThe hotel is just outside the sign for pontefract. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel, especially our 2 rooms, were kept very clean.There isnt a lift, my brother has a walking stick and did have trouble with the stairs on the colder/end of the day of busier days. We dont usually bother requesting a ground floor room becsuse there is usually a lift. Definitely worth what we paid

The Railway Hotel
88 Pontefract Rd, KnottingleyI had a bit of time to kill before my train left so I decided to pay a visit to the Railway Hotel for a drink. I received a warm welcome from the lady behind the bar. Although it was midday there were a few people in the pub. I was able to find a seat and enjoy my drink before starting my train journey. The pub is right next to Knottingley railway station and it has a car park. There is also a bus stop nearby and shops too. Great place for a quick pint.

The staff are great and nothing is ever too much trouble, always friendly and engaging, making sure you enjoy your night. Visit a couple times through the year and the occasional takeaway but the best is our yearly lads Christmas/Baz's birthday night out, a rowdy group but the staff get involved and always join in the fun.See you guys again soon ??

43 Womersley Rd, KnottingleyThis is the only Chinese we use. It’s the best there is in the Pontefract area. The food is always spot on. It seems everyone else thinks so too, which is why delivery has taken up to 2 hours on occasions. So be prepared to wait!I do find it very expensive, particularly for the delivery charge. We live close to Pontefract town centre and the place is in Knottingley, so not too far. However, 6 pound something for a delivery charge, when ordering from their website?? Far too much. We won’t be ordering as much now.

Marine Villa Rd, KnottingleyGets quite busy especially on weekends. Petrol station causes mayhem as it's the same entrance to store., but obviously plenty of goods to choose from, toilets available and cafe if you want to chill out.Getting in and out at this time of year is a nightmare.
