Attended a private function in one of the function rooms. Clean, nice decor plenty of space for the 40 guests. Dance floor, Seating with tables. Food was served buffet style in own are of room. Sandwiches, quiches, pork pie along with other cold options. Hot selection was varied options of Indian samosa, differant style chicken pieces , chips and lots more. A really good choice of finger food for the guests. Bar had plenty of options with bottled and cask, gins, wines and soft drinks. Plenty of toilets so no long queues. Toilets clean and well kept. Ample parking outside, noticed alot of camper vans parked up in one section.Drinking area outside with canopy and seating. Staff extremely warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Bar prices well priced. Looked on notice board and the place has multiple acts, theme weekends all thru the year. Carvery on a Sunday is one of the most popular in the area, booking advised. Venue itself has other function room that would easily suit a wedding reception or larger Birthday celebration. Venue easy to find as is along side Drax power station on major roads.Parking: Plenty of parking for smaller upto big vehicles. Parking is free and safe and secure.Wheelchair accessibility: All on one level with wide doors and well thought out bar and social areas. Disabled toilets easily accessible.

We booked for a special Mothering Sunday meal as we had been before for the Christmas meal and really enjoyed it my mum has vascular dementia so these special days are for us making memories the meal we had was the special king carvery plus a desert and the first drink was free each the carvery was lovely four meats plus lots of choice of vegetables I am gluten free which was noted when I booked and paid in advance so while I was choosing my meat and veg they prepared my gf yorkshire puds and gf gravy I was told which things like stuffing that wasn't gf I love the vast choice available gf garlic mushroom sauce is a favourite of mine we all sat down to eat we all enjoyed our meal but had some meat left on our plate they brought a box each to put the meat in to take away( our dogs enjoyed it when we got home)Time to choose our dessert there was a few choices but only 1 choice for gluten free the lemon roulade which I ordered as I enjoyed it at christmas I was looking forward to it I was told they hadn't any left I was very disappointed my husband and mum chose a cheese cake that wasn't available so they went to the next available dessert the profiteroles with toffee sauce meanwhile they went to see what I could have being gluten free my choice was very limited ice cream or sorbet I ended up with nothing I raised the issue with a gentleman called John as I was disappointed as it was on my booking that my dietary needs was gluten free so knowing how many customers that were gf should had that amount of lemon roulade to one side as that was the only choice on the set menu John did agree with me and apologised he gave me a refund for what the dessert cost and also as a apology said to see him next time I was in and my next dessert would be on the house thank you John for your offer we will be back as we do enjoy it there also I like to say all the staff there from the waitresses to bar tender that took our drinks order to the staff at the carvery and the staff in the back ground were all brilliant all in all we enjoyed the day mum was also happy with her chocolates that was given to her at the table included with her meal for Mothers day just a shame she won't remember it the next day but it's all about making the memories

The best venue and dancefloor for Northern Soul nites. They even put talc on the dancefloor for you if you ask them.Great resident and guest deejays that create a proper soulful dance vibe.Quick and courteous bar staff boosted by reasonable drinks prices. There is plenty of free car parking, and it's only £3 OTD.It'd been a while since I'd been, but it didn't disappoint. I had a great night and danced to plenty of tunes I'd not heard for a while.

Christmas lunch was tasty well cooked and hot! The table decorations were better than expected and the tables were set with plenty of room around them. The service was controlled so there was never a huge queue at the carvery. Drinks were served at the table were excellent! The staff were efficient and friendly ensuring they were worth a large tip from me!Parking: Large car park on siteKid-friendliness: We had a 4 and 6 year old with us I a party of 18! They had a ball and entertained our party and along with other children the whole restaurant without causing offence!Wheelchair accessibility: Level entry and accessible toilets
