Arrived with our friends on a carriage driving day in the grounds of Escrick Estate, Skipwith nature reserve and surrounding farm land. Grand day out and a planned visit to the Drovers was topped off by very helpful staff, particularly in the kitchen where our food choices arrived in boxes rather than plates and some carrots for our ponies. We also learned that the Drovers had been the place of our friends first date who knew!!!

It was a last minute booking after the disappointing news that the hotel we were staying at nearby could not accommodate us in their restaurant. I went by others ‘ reviews and the Drovers Arms did not disappoint. The service was friendly, efficient and professional and the food delicious. We were celebrating a surprise engagement and it made the event memorable.

Sunday Lunch: Prices are on the high side for the food and drink; the food looked great on the plate, was very tasty and a good helping; but the roast dinner was cold, more so than any other food I can remember. To the point where I would have mentioned it had I been asked for feedback when the plates were collected. The very young servers however did not ask - and were quite busy - hence a mention here as it is something that would put me off booking again. (That and the 1.5h table time.)

After the initial hiccup with our booking in which the staff sorted for us the after noon was excellent. The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive.

Called in here on Saturday after spending the morning in the area and looking for somewhere to eat. We were not disappointed from the moment we walked through the door, despite not booking a table we were seated immediately in a nice cosy corner of the restaurant. The service was impeccable throughout our visit the staff were always attentive and not in a pushy way. When the food arrived it was beyond expectations the care and effort that had gone into the preparation, cooking and presentation or the food was second to none and the taste was out of this world. We will definitely be back again soon and would definitely recommend.Parking: Free carpark behind the pub operated with a one way system

Me and my family was going to try this pub for a meal but after the ignorant way I,ve been treated we have decided against it.They advertised a job vacancy on Indeed to which I applied for, I also rang the pub on the Monday to check if the vacancy was still available,I was told that they believed it was,the person took my details and I was told that the manager who was dealing with it would call me to discuss it and let me know either way, saying it would be "possibly tomorrow".The next day no one rang so I left it till 5pm that evening and rang again just to enquire if the vacancy had been filled to save me wasting my time if it had.The assistant manager told me the position is still available and confirmed that they had my details, she said the manager Adam would contact me possibly tomorrow.By Friday still no one had rang or emailed me so I was about to give it up as a bad job -(Exactly).I decided to give it one last try as the job would of been local for me.I managed to speak to Adam the manager himself who said he had been off a few days but said he would put my cv to the top and ring me iether later that day or "tomorrow".It has been nearly two weeks now and no one bothered to ring. What a really bad impression this company has given me.To be told from three members of staff including the manager that they will contact me then not bother is simply rude. This has put me off being a customer if that's how they treat potential staff.

Hubby and I like to do a date night once a month and finally booked the Drovers Arms and was not disappointed. Firstly the staff were brilliant helpful polite perfect service. I’m a fussy eater and just like chicken and I asked for a chicken alternative to the steak meal and they did and it was gorgeous. Hubby said his burger was really tasty. Price of meal spot on. Refurb looks lovely. Def will be back and we definitely would recommend this pub for a meal. Thank you for a lovely evening meal out.

They have done an amazing job with the renovations - stylish with an up-market feel and a menu to match. A lot of places are closed on a Monday evening so this was a real treat; a few items were unavailable (assuming it was a busy weekend for them/Sunday Supply issues) but the staff were informative and knowledgeable and explained as they sat us at the table. We had Fish and Chips & Venison Burger, Sticky Toffee and Crème Brulee.Attentive and friendly staff; we look forward to coming back!

Didn't have a meal but obviously an excellent place to eat as fully booked. Service at bar was friendly and pleasant. Atmosphere was electric, buzzing!

A family lunch which did not disappoint! The starters were lush, especially the vegan sharing platter which was really simple but well done - the hummus was the best I've had in ages. Our mains were very good, especially the vegan butternut squash flat bread. My partner thought the gammon was a bit overcooked but as it came with egg and pineapple, he really liked it. This chips were to die for - fat and piping hot! The chicken flat bread and lamb were excellent too. We were so fulll, we couldn't manage a sweet, but there looked to be great choices there. The service was excellent and as the bar is dog friendly and has its own log fire, we were in heaven!
