“The food was very nice, it was hot and served very quickly. The waitress was friendly and helpful it was great that she shared jokey banter with my 78yr old dad, it made him laugh so thankyou. The only downside was that the tables were on the small side, but that's it. Thanks for a lovely meal”

“I first visited this Fish and chip shop 20 plus years ago it was excellent then
It's still very good today the cod and chips were very good and cooked fresh while I waited ..
It does get busy in the small shop so you can expect to wait.”

“Always busy & the variety of sandwiches, pastries etc is excellent. We always have sandwiches to go but a good-sized cafe as well. The café also has picnic tables outside overlooking the square.”
“Had a fabulous meal last night celebrating a 70th birthday. Food was superb - a few of us had the sweet potato korma curry and all said it was delicious. Everyone followed their main course with a desert, of which we all eyed enviously other's choices. Can definitely recommend the salted caramel sundae with millionaire shortbread, although the cheesecake is on my shortlist for next time.
The staff were great (as always), attentive and helpful with special mention given to Hannah and Charlie who had to cope with our large party which included a 2 year old & 2 well behaved dogs.
The location is excellent with superb views across the dales so if any walkers are looking for a place to refresh with excellent food and drink then The knights table is a must.”
