Wonderful! My wife has severe allergies and everyone was super accommodating from the moment we arrived, even the chap behind the bar knew about them and the chef could explain all the changes made to each dish - very reassuring. We had the tasting menu and the food was excellent, not as excessively and unnecessarily posh as some places - no foamed essence of unicorn - just the best version of each food item you've ever eaten, served with a smile and a warm welcome. Will definitely be back next time we have something to celebrate!Vegetarian options: A vegetarian version of the tasting menu is available - or a pescatarian version could be done!Dietary restrictions: My wife carries epipens for allergies so this matters to us - they catered for her with no trouble, and inspired real confidence that they understood and we're taking it seriouslyParking: Large carpark for hotel and restaurant guests

Had a lovely meal! Delicious food, first class service, in fresh, new surroundings. Would recommend!

It's closed again. Tried three times to dine there in past couple of years: this time informed it had to be closed again whilst we were travelling to Wharfedale. Disappointed.

Venue and decor….relaxing , cosy, country house. Dining room is relatively relaxed all be it lacking a little atmosphere. Service…from Yorkshire! Warm welcome, honest but attentive Wine and drinks….one of the region’s largest selection with a knowledgeable sommelier. Delicious cocktails. Food ….obviously good quality ingredients . BUT as someone who frequently ‘fine dines’ it just tries too hard and fails. Sauces over reduced to the point of being bitter, texture that goes beyond crunch to grit. It’s a shame…obvious talent in the kitchen but feels like a quest for a Michelin star rather than a passion for great taste. First time I’ve eaten out when everything is great…except the food which could with a slightly different approach could easily be there.

We ate in the Burlington Restaurant as part of a two-night dinner, bed and breakfast package at the Devonshire Arms. Dinner was seven courses served as a tasting menu. It was a delightful time together, and when the ‘Chocolate’ course was served, so was a special chocolate birthday item for one of our family. We appreciated the highlighting of local produce during the meal, and the effective service.

We had the tasting menu with the accompanying wine flight. The staff were amazing and the chef accommodated a dietary allergen I have by offering alternatives (the one selected was superb). Both the waiting staff and sommelier were very attentive and helped make the evening what it was. As for the food, it was a tasting menu so don't expect large portion sizes. However, we left feeling full. The dishes were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed every one. The drinks were well paired and any questions we had about them were answered by the team.

Nice restaurant and grounds for a walk. We had the afternoon tea which I'd rate a 3/5 compared to others we've had at gastro pubs and hotels. Still very nice and the service was good. If you come here, arrive early and have a walk down to Bolton Abbey. Very nice Riverside walk.

Absolutely outstanding service from the second we entered to the second we left Tom was just amazing , I have a broken leg and we were very well looked after The food was just exceptional, we have been to many Michelin stared restaurants and this outshone some of them , every course was Devine , the attention to details and flavours This restaurant is so worthy of a star Just loved everything about it Thank you for taking such good care of us We will definitely be back Rachel & Lindsay

Overall nice experience, unusual idea to do a tasting menu in a hotel restaurant, in need of better advertisement. Very accommodating and attentive staff especially for dietary requirements. Somewhat slow service and a lack of taste variety, could have done with more carbohydrates but lots of nice extra touches from the manager. Recommend to those looking for a more formal dining option in the village

Excellent food and service, staff excellent, food amazing and good portions, we had 6 courses and the wine flight, couldn’t finish with chocks as so full, would defiantly visit again

For a special dinner, the tasting menu was sublime, with knowledgable service and a matching wine flight.

I was really surprised with the average quality of our afternoon tea, the sandwich fillings especially. The cakes were mostly average, apart from the scones which were delicious. I'm afraid I won't be back.

Fantastic food and the service was excellent. There was nothing we could fault apart from having to wear the ‘ mask’ through the restaurant before being seated. But that is due to the current pandemic. The hotel handled the situation impeccably. We will be back!
