I’ve just spent the past hour being sick from food poisoning. Wanted a quiet Birthday dinner but the crab starter was really bad and the main was quite bland.Honestly the staff were really lovely, and the place is nice and atmospheric.But I’ve spent £70 and its really not worth it.

Partner is being sick from food poisoning. Waitress was lovely. Really cute looking restaurant. Food was bad, only nice items were the French onion soup and the desserts. The bread for table very stale, crab starter was really bad, didn’t taste fresh. The seafood parcel was cold in the middle so just left it. Wine was a simple Pinot Grigio and was very bitter. We just agreed to maybe not come back and not complain but both have felt really poorly this evening after eating here so I’m just not comfortable with the seafood tonight. sorry!

Safe to say that this is one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. We were a party of 4, and everyone really enjoyed their starters and mains. Service was excellent and food was out of this world, especially my seafood money bag (pictured) and great value at £24 for two courses on a Sunday. Thank you for a fabulous experience! Highly recommended.

A warm welcome from a switched on manager. Food excellent, service great, busy for a reason. Would recommend. Menu covers all eating choices. The crab was delicious!

The overall quality of the food was very good, however the service left a lot to be desired.As an owner of a bar, I fully appreciate the problems of getting staff , and the young staff were doing their best but lacked some basic customer service skills.Our main course plates were not removed for some 40 minutes after finishing our meal . We never got offered a sweet and the bill had an £18 service charge on it.We didn't pay it but did leave a small cash tip.As I say, the food was very good , and I'm sure the service will improve
Honestly, the best meal I've ever had in Skipton. Been to a lot of resteraunts in in town, but for some reason I never thought to tick off Le Bistro. The food was seasoned and cooked wonderfully, the staff were excellent and the decor was very cosy. Will definitely return!

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining in this absolutely outstanding restaurant, the food was absolutely brilliant, we were never rushed and the restaurant was more or less full, The staff were really friendly and attentive nothing was to much trouble, it was just an absolutely fantastic experience.

We all chose from the set Xmas menu which has plenty of choice and is very reasonably priced at £25. They catered for my elderly mums smaller appetite. She was not overfaced and ate it all. The turkey was tender and the sprouts were cooked perfectly. ( difficult to not overcook ) Those who chose a crab starter said it was delicious. The service was excellent and we were welcomed. I had a ginger and rhubarb creme brulee and my only criticism was too much and too strong ginger on the rhubarb. I left it but are the remainder. I saw the staff move a booking downstairs for a lady with a stick who was reluctant to tackle the stairs. Five star service. We were not rushed and had a lovely family time. We have been before and are never disappointed
