An incredibly welcoming pub. We were there for the pub quiz evening and it was just great. If you are visiting Skipton, definitely stop by here, a clear recommendation, not least because of the friendly staff!

Enjoyed a nice lunch & drink after a walk around the Castle Woodland. Be adventurous looking for a table, plenty indoors but that's not too obvious when you walk in. Also plenty of outdoor seating.

Had a drink only. Next time I will opt for food. Looked really nice what I could see coming from the kitchen.

Caught it on a very busy day and was struggling for a seat. We managed to get sat down in a very small corner of a room, and just fit to the table ?.Never the less the food was cracking and great filler plate portion sizes ?.

Such a cosy pub, staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Comprehensive menu selection, chicken, ham & leek pie and steak & ale pies were homemade, as were the chips, together with fresh vegetables, absolutely delicious. Dog friendly too, dog biscuits supplied!

We stopped by the beautiful and atmospheric Castle Inn after spending the afternoon in Skipton. The staff were fantastic and attentive, the drinks were quick and the food service was great. What let down the meal was the suprise bacon (not in a good way) in one of the dishes. I ordered garlic mushrooms (a vegetarian go-to) and when the food arrived it was delicious but had the unmistakable texture of pork. When I asked the kind waitress, she went to the kitchen and discovered that the meal was in fact laced with bacon - nowhere on the menu did it mention ANYTHING about meat in the garlic mushrooms. The dish was removed from the bill without question and with apologies. Luckily I do not suffer with a pork allergy but this is a mistake that could have been potentially terrible.

Such a fab place. Was here alone with my cuddly westie, Pepper, who couldn’t have proved more popular. She got treats, water and cuddles straight away. Had the sausage & mash and it was delicious. Fab staff, will be back x
