We love this place. Visit on a regular basis. We have gotten to know the owners over the last three years. They are very welcoming and make you feel part of the family. It's their home and comes with a lot of character and charm.Food is absolutely outstanding. Always well cooked and fresh. The prices are spot on. It's not over the top and is well worth every penny.Due to it being so popular, it's advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment ?. Service can sometimes be slow but the food is well worth the wait.Highly recommend for a visit.

What an absolute shame to leave this review. We were passing by after an old track in the woods and thought to pop in for an afternoon bite.We were soon greeted by a gent who told us no dogs are allowed inside, which is completely fine and we were happy to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. When we were approached for our order the same gent told us that our dog is a bit nasty looking and the “type to bite”.We suggested that we can leave should it is making him uncomfortable. This was retorted with “it’s best you do, I have been bitten before”.Not the usual Yorkshire warmth and hospitality you can expect. I am sure it’s a fab local gem, but must work on their customer service.

What a lovely place! Old-fashioned charm with good home cooking. We were a party of 8 plus 3 young children out for a late afternoon hot dinner and everyone was amply catered for.2 of us "found" the place on a motorcycle ride in summer. We had a lunchtime light meal which was also great and whilst in the area, decided to come back. We weren't disappointed!

I’ve never left a review before. This is a first for me but I just wanted to say how wonderful our visit was today. We will definitely be coming here more often. The food was yummy and I just adored the setting. Thankyou so much, we will be back ☺️ Also thankyou for the extra Yorkshire puddings my little lad truly adored them!

Best Sunday lunch, ever

Quaint little cafe with stunning views. Beautiful setting but not child/baby friendly. We had our one year old with us and were not offered a high chair, and could not see any that were available. The cafe is also cash only although they do accept bank transfer.Kid-friendliness: Not baby/toddler friendly. We were not offered a high chair on arrival nor did we see any available to use. I do not know what their baby changing facilities are like so cannot comment on that.
