We were staying at the caravan park across the road and visited the restaurant. If you book on there website and you have dogs please just confirm they have picked the booking up as we had a little mix up and was turned away. However a lovely Eileen made our second visit so much better. She really went out of her way to make sure we have a good service. We called in for a meal. The staff were very friendly & obliging, it was a cold day & we were asked if we'd like a table near the fire which was very welcoming so we said yes. The meals we had were very nice, they were steak n ale pie with mash & veg & smothered chicken. We will certainly return for a meal.
It's a handy location with good car parking and the restaurant and lounge areas are lovely- we went for a meal Saturday evening and were surprised at how quiet it was. We had the fish and chips offer which was very nice. There was lots on the menu that we fancied but the chef seems keen to go the extra mile and it wasn't always what we wanted.
