Stopped here for dinner before a local race. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and decent food (though a bit pricey in my view). The disappointment was their use of the accessible bathroom as a store cupboard, with a variety of cardboard boxes and designer perfumes laying about, making use of said bathroom very challenging as a wheelchair user. Perhaps they don’t get wheelchair users very often, but making the accessible bathroom inaccessible by filling it with boxes doesn’t tempt me to come back.

As it was the last night of our holiday my daughter and I decided to have a meal out. The Crown and Anchor is a lovely cozy country pub. The staff were friendly and the service was great. The steak and ale pie was the best I've had, my daughter had chicken kebab with rice and salad which she said was delicious. We couldn't say no to desert, I had tirimasu my daughter had lemon possett and they were also delicious. I will definitely recommend the Crown and Anchor to anyone visiting the area.

It is not always easy to ho know a pub alone to eat but I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Yje staff were very friendly and th food was good.

Brilliant new chefs although we were never disappointed before. Just a great idea to have the kitchen a separate enterprise. Well done Lee, they are a real find. Wish we lived a little nearer so we could pop in more often. See you in December.

Excellent friendly pub and restaurant! Called in while staying over nearby for the weekend, couldn’t have asked for anything better! Excellent food, very attentive and friendly staff plus a brilliant atmosphere! All at very reasonable price! Would definitely recommend!! Plus very dog friendly!!
