Early lunch booking, clearly clean as smelt very strongly of disinfectant throughout.Wasn't aware it was a dog pub - own fault, not marking down due for it.Food tasty, service friendly, but took 20 minutes to get the bill paid once it was busy.Expensive for what it was - true of many places. £63 for 2 adult, 2 children's lunches, 2 deserts, 3 soft drinks. Would have welcomed bigger portions eg some veg with it.Overall, if you're eating out with a dog I'd recommend The Bay Horse.

A quiet tea time when we visited, nice beer and really excellent fish and home made chips.
Visited on Sunday 7th Jan 2024 for Sunday lunch. Probably the best roast beef dinner I've had in a pub. Really good roasties and everything was tasty. We ordered pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese too but didn't need it as the standard meal was so filling. Great service too. We will be back again.

Very good random find after a walk. The food was amazing. The fish and chips were massive and the pie was to die for proper pastry. Thanks for being able to squeeze us in as it's a busy place.

I was at work and booked a table last minute, I really wanted a proper home cooked meal after all the Christmas nibbles. It was by far one of the best meals I have ever eaten, the homemade pie had plenty of filling, the pastry was perfect, the mash and vegetables all tasted delightful with a variety of different Christmas flavours. I would most definitely recommend and will be returning shortly.

First Christmas Dinner eaten at a pub in 15 years, so pleased that the Bay Horse was the pub we chose to go to. Exceptional food, really good service team and a good choice of beers, wines and spirits.
