Harts Coffee House and Deli Thorpe Willoughby
26 Field Ln, Thorpe Willoughby, SelbyWhat a hidden gem! I happened across this place looking for breakfast on the way to an appointment this week, and I am so glad that I did! A quaint, well maintained, stylish deli & cafe. Lovely welcoming staff & atmosphere of happy customers chatting & catching up or simply reading contentedly alongside their food & drinks.
I enjoyed a vibrant & fresh Greek yogurt bowl from the specials board with an aromatic Americano & took a slice of flapjack for the road & Bakewell tart for my husband (both were delicious!). I’ll definitely be back as the deli counter packed with fresh fruit & veg, quiches, feta & spinach filo slices, colourful salads, cakes & tray bakes looked absolutely amazing! Just wish I lived closer & could work my way through the menu: your locals are very lucky indeed!

The Albion
Chapel Ln, Clifford, WetherbyIgnore any review over 2 years ago. New management since then. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, staff and landlord especially friendly. No food (which is fine options in Boston Spa) but a wonderful place for a pint, snacks and a chat. Nice outdoor area for a drink with a suntrap in the evening. The perfect village pub.

L'Aquila restaurant
152 High St, Boston Spa, WetherbySecond visit to L'Aquila and another great experience. Between the 4 of us, we had 3 different pasta dishes and a pizza - all really good quality and just right portion sizes.
Beer and wine goid choice and decent prices.
Both visits have felt like the front of house staff could do with one more at busy times as it was a little slow to take drinks then food orders, and a big gap between serving starters and mains (we like a decent gap, but this was a tad lengthy).
Definitely didn't spoil the experience, so don't let it put you off - just be aware and look forward to a bit of a more relaxed pace than you might be used to. We will be back soon.

Tim's Cafe and Takeaway at Thorp Arch
Thorp Arch Retail Park, WetherbyToday’s mission: review Tim’s Café at Thorp Arch, nestled between Wetherby and Tadcaster. Tucked away in an industrial estate that’s more business than play these days, Tim’s is a hidden gem. Once a bustling retail hub with a mega play park, it's now filled with learner drivers and instructors. Sundays are a madhouse thanks to the car boot sale, so either get there early or call ahead to place an order. Just a stone’s throw from the prison, it’s worth a visit if you're tired of the standard cheese and ham toasties. Tim’s has always been our go-to spot. We usually grab breakfast and some OJ. They’ve got a ton of options and will customise your order—well, they do for us anyway. It's affordable and good value for money. Their bacon sarnie in a sub roll with extra bacon? Legendary. And their Full English is a hangover hero. The staff? Absolute legends. Always nice, chilled, and chatty—perfect if you're not usually the sociable type. Plus, your dog gets the VIP treatment with their own sausage. Fair warning: if you eat in, you might leave smelling like a fry-up. So, if that’s a dealbreaker, just grab your food to go. All in all, definitely recommended.

The Oven Door Bakery
12 North St, WetherbyPopped into wetherby on our way to rudding park, saw cakes and bakes in the window popped in and treated ourselves. I had the biscoff cake and my husband the chocolate flapjack, oh my days, what a cake! So light and beautifully fresh. Can taste the care and homemade nature. It was that good, we diverted home, just to get more for our friends and family to experience. Will be back next time we're around that area. You beauty.

KFC Wetherby - A1M Services
A1M, WetherbyVery poor representation of a popular fast food chain.
I bought a family feast, the beans were totally dry and the chicken tasted like it had been cooked in old oil. There was none of the herby flavours you would get from some of the good KFCs.
Returned in September 2025 and what a turn around.
This now has to be one of the best KFC I have had.
