I live the other side of Harrogate to this pub.Daughter (lives in Weth’) took me in there one day, after walking the dog). Had a lovely traditional feel. Staff behind bar, friendly/chatty.When I saw their Theakstones “Old Peculiar”,, ordered one, asked about price, then had to tell the Landlord (Pete), that where I live there’s a Pub/Rest’ nearby (Boars Head) that sells “Peculiar” for £6 a pint.Red-Lions “Peculiar” was £4.45p.Needless to say, the “Boars”...read full review

Very friendly and helpful landlord. We asked if they had available of tnt sports to watch a game of football and the landlord couldn't have been more helpful. We will return next time we're on holiday this way again. Kind regards Chesterfield fc supporters.

Lovely Sunday dinner for a great price. Came quickly all freshly cooked. Fresh veg cooked to perfection came in a big bowl and a big gravy boat which I loved. Service was great. Would defo call again after a walk ?
