5 of us came here for a ladies meal out. Between us we had 3 different meals with a couple of us ordering the same thing. All meals were simply delicious. Portion sizes are generous. The hand cut chips gorgeous and service and drinks selection really good too. As well as the menu choice there are lots of specials to choose from also. Highly recommend.

Lovely place, nice atmosphere and the staff are lovely. The food lets this place down. Although it looks lovely and it’s really hot the lasagna lacks flavour. There’s no tomato based sauce and no herbs in the sauce. Was more like having cottage pie mix with pasta. The portions are huge, so if you like big portions then perhaps this is the place for you.

Wow! Quirky, eclectic, fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff, generous portions, beautifully cooked and tasty food, honest, unpretentious and very reasonably priced. Plenty of vegetarian choices. Attentive staff too...I dropped my fork on the floor and the waitress came over with a new one for me in a really subtle and unobtrusive way. We've been to Whitby a half dozen times before and haven't noticed this place before but, now that we have, it will be a must-visit for next time. Thank you for a fantastic evening ?

Great pizza cooked in a wood fired oven, i love the intimacy and charm of the restaurant, it feels authentic and unless you look outside, you could easily believe that you were sat in a restaurant in Italy.

Came for a birthday meal. Four of us in total. We chose two of the specials - one was pork steak with garlic mushrooms and chorizo and black pudding roast potatoes - delicious. Other special was a salmon bake. Two others were pizzas and all were lovely. Puddings were good too. Great atmosphere and everyone joined in the happy birthday afterwards. Will definitely come again.

Had a lovely meal, meal sizes are quite large so definitely good value for money. Not expensive at all. Only thing I would say is its abit crammed, but apart from that was a lovely new years eve
Lucky enough to get a table for NY Eve. Great food - the meatballs were so tasty. Service was amazing - especially as the place was full. Lovely vibe inside the restaurant - can’t recommend it enough if you are in Whitby. Thanks for a great evening.

We have been dining at Moutreys since they opened, can't believe it's 20 years since! Ate here Tues 12 Dec. Absolutely great. Same fantastic food and experience as always. Staff so friendly, polite, and happy. Congratulations guys, and happy Anniversary, oh, and Merry Christmas too.

The pizzas were really soggy in the middle and just not great! Spaghetti bolognese was plentiful but bland. The service was great but really let down by the kitchen. I'm trying to be positive but just not Italian food as I know it.

We visited over the weekend and the the restaurant was really busy creating a nice atmosphere, service was quick attentive and polite. We ordered carbonara and meat feast pizza both of which were fine - would return again
