Great place for a drink, and the food is spot on. Made very welcome by the staff, service is excellent and the Italian Chicken was fantastic! Sometimes it may be prudent to book a table on an evening.Pet, Friendly, which in my case makes the pub even better!

Called in on a Sunday in late February for Sunday lunch. Food was excellent, really enjoyable served with a home made relish made to an old family recipe which was delicious. Horseradish sauces also appeared to be home made.Limited range of real ale but what was available was well kept and very drinkable. Prices for food and drink very good value.Service was very friendly and efficient. Do check opening times as they are limited during enclosed season.Pub is located a little outside Whitby but well worth the trip out.Vegetarian options: Sunday lunch vegetarian option limited out of season but food was excellent.Parking: Plenty of parking in pub car park opposite pub.

What a great find! Proper home cooked food which was absolutely delicious. Rare to get so many veggie and vegan options, and we thoroughly enjoyed our vegan wellingtons. Also dog friendly (our pooch was made to feel very welcome). Jane and Ellie were fantastic hosts. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.Vegetarian options: Lots of choice for vegetarians and vegans

We were on our way back to our holiday cottage and decided to stop fir Sunday lunch. So glad we did. We both had roast pork and it was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and helpful explaining what the sauce that we had never seen before. It was made from lettuce, onion, vinegar and something else I can’t remember. It was fantastic, the chef’s grandmother’s recipe. We would highly recommend stopping if you are passing.

Lovely little pub. No fancy decor and quite basic fittings and fixtures but don’t let that fool you. The welcome is warm, the place is comfortable and the food is of a much higher standard than the usual pub grub. Also dog friendly. We really enjoyed our visit.

Great food, friendly service and very generous portions. Caters for all diets including vegetarian and vegan. Chris is a fantastic chef. Also dog and children friendly and a real fire, very cosy. Plenty of car parking opposite.

The Stiddy beckons with its warm ambiance and culinary delights. This Sunday, I embarked on a gastronomic journey that surpassed expectations. The traditional roast, a symphony of flavors, boasted succulent meats paired with perfectly roasted vegetables. The chef's meticulous attention to detail shone through in each bite. The cozy atmosphere, coupled with attentive service, made for a leisurely afternoon. The Stiddy Pub is a culinary haven, where every Sunday lunch becomes a memorable celebration of taste and hospitality.

Stayed in Lythe over the weekend at the little cottage directly next to the pub. The absolute highlight was The Stiddy, the atmosphere is so calm and relaxing with the roaring fire, comfy seating and delicious food with a great selection of specials. The staff couldn't do enough for us, they told us when a comfy table became available near the fire, they brought us fresh ham for our dog, and made us feel like we'd been going for years. Could easily have spent all night in there but we had an early start the next day. 10 out of 10!

Wow!!! Just had Sunday lunch here and what a hidden gem this place is. Had roast beef to die for and panettone bread and butter pudding for afters, everything was delicious. Service was fab and Chris could not do enough to make us welcome. The pub is cosy and a great atmosphere. We have already booked our next visit.
