Was in Whitby for just the day and was looking forward to taking a Chinese back to where we were staying in Robin Hoods Bay. We placed our order online to collect for 4pm. The opening time was from 3pm. We went to withdraw cash (strange you can’t pay online) and then on to collect. Arrived at 4pm and it was shut. I called to find out what was going on and the man who answered couldn’t sound more careless and said they’re opening in about another 30 minutes. No apology, nothing. I even asked if he had my order and he didn’t seem to know. Why have your opening times for 3pm and accept online orders if you cannot be bothered to open on time? I will never waste my time with them again.

After reading some negative reviews I was slightly dubious about ordering from here. I was however pleasantly surprised. The delivery guy arrived in a timely manner, food was hot, portions were plentiful and the food was delicious.

This is the third time we've had a takeaway from Whitby Wok in the last year and can't believe some of the negative reviews. Each time we've ordered the food has arrived on time piping hot and

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!CASH ONLY so tallied up our order to be told it was £6.50 MORE than we'd tallied up and told to look online for prices if we didn't agree..When we disagreed we was told we was aggressive and we would get half a portion of everything even tho we'd paid already...VILE service. vile womanWould not recommend3 people turned away after seeing how we was treated so when it came up suggested to review here we are...Don't bother!!!

Paid £11 for a meal that comes with 4 spring rolls and a drink. Only came out with one meal (how specific do I have to be it was on the price tag don't they forget to read their own menu!!??). For the meal itself it did not make up for the fair cost as it was supposed to be a meal deal!!!! I specifically ordered. The food wasn't as good for a half and half meal; the chicken was dry barely fried on the wok and the fried rice barely hit the amount of oil (I can cook way better than this). As an Asian myself I felt massively disappointed to have ordered from here.

We tried the Whitby Wok one evening to take a break from fish and chips and we didn’t regret it!The food is great and priced reasonably. Payment was cash only and the wait time was around 20 minutes. For 4 chow meins it was under £30 and they tasted amazing!

Their service and atmosphere is very good. The bubble tea is my recommendation for people. The food could be a little better as per tasting.Vegetarian options: There are ample vegetarian options available.Kid-friendliness: The place is kid friendly.Parking: Parking available 500 metres ahead towards the cliff.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility is fineDietary restrictions: They sure have options for dietary restrictions.

Service was terrible , took 1 hour 50 mins for delivery, when I rang to find out what was happening after 1 hour was told it would be leaving in 15 mins, it took another 50 mins to be delivered. Tbh it definitley wasn't worth the wait. The only positive note was the delivery guy was lovely

We waited an hour and a half for delivery of cold tasteless food. It cost £35 for 2 people. We had the mixed starter which consisted of prawn toast fingers, soggy sping rolls and chicken nuggets. The ribs were ok to be fair but it was all cold. The crispy sea weed was sprinkled on top like a garnish. My hubby was quite Happy with his sweet and sour chicken but I have to say my special vermacelli was dreadful it was just bland noodles with some bland meat and not much of that. No chilli, no veg, no taste what do ever. I can honestly say this was the worst Chinese meal I have ever had.

We’ve had food from here once before which was just ok. We ordered again last night and all meals were so bland but the worst part was £7.50 for doner meat and chips, which was a portion of chips with a scattering of cremating pieces of meat on top. I took it back but I was accused of eating some of it!! And then they agreed to put some more on which was a similar scattering. Total rubbish value, bland food and rude staff.

Says on website that ‘in rare occasions it takes over 45 mins” for food to arrive ring the restaurant. Rang up after an hour and they were blunt and rude, said the driver was leaving in 15 and I replied saying that it would have been 1hr 15 then and he replied “yeah we’re busy”. Hoped the food would make up for the service but they got the order wrong, asked for bbq chicken wings. Got pieces of chicken in sauce and pad thai was bland.
