Cosy traditional pub with real open fires :-). Very welcoming and accommodating staff and locals. Thank you for a memorable evening for both me and my family.

Food took an hour and wrong order brought to us. There's a children's menu but it's not a place set up for families - no child friendly cutlery, cups etc. Not very welcoming, we felt like this was a locals only pub and we were very

Wonderful friendly staff and great atmosphere, we were staying locally and went in three nights running and everyone was very friendly. We only ate there on one night and had the pizza we which was very tasty and super sized. We would definitely recommend this pub and will call again.

We went for evening meal and after reading some reviews we decided to book a table. On arrival we were suprised at how rude the bar staff were, very unprofessional and not helpful at all.We were going to finish our drinks and leave but decided as it was late to just order. What a mistake that was the Lamb Shank was from freezer and the mash was instant mash, not to mention the tinned green beans.Avoid at all cost

We are staying near by we have been into the pub twice and ordered take away. Great family run pub, that makes those outside of the village really welcome. The family that run it are lovely, really chatty, down to earth people. Food is proper honest pub grub, at a reasonable price. They do a great pint of hobgoblin too. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I popped into the Black Horse just before our arrival at The Manor - and because it was the only local pub open on aTuesday. The establishment is extremely tired looking. The meals we had were mediocre at best! There were a number of guests having meals and we got the impression from the familiarity between them and the staff that they were frequent local diners. Will drive past next!

We went for a Sunday dinner I had lamb and my husband had the beef the plate was full with fresh vegetables and all the trimmings and it was delicious. We will be going back again. The staff were friendly and helpful.
