Went into Byron burger looking forward to having a nice meal. Our drinks took 10 minutes to arrive to us and the rose tasted off, when our food order had arrived the burgers were more well done than “juicy and pink”. All the flavours tasted like they were underwhelming and quite bland. I ordered a side of bacon cheese fries which came unseasoned, unsalted with very pale tasteless cheese sauce and a mild temperature like they’d sat out for a while. Myself and my partner were disappointed with our experience and felt like a bill of 52.53 for 2 burgers, 1 order of fries, 4 wings a coke and a rose (with a 10% service charge) was unexpected and not value for money. The bathrooms were tight making it hard to get into the cubicles to use the toilets and weren’t as clean as I’d have liked.

The best burger I've had and brilliant service with a very accommodating team. Food all came out really quickly and just couldn't fault it at all! The only thing I wish was that you had a restaurant in Manchester because nothing else has come close to being this good!

Beautiful burgers, very tasty and the fries are crispy. Called in on the off chance and so glad we did. Will definitely call again, next time we are in York.

Visited 3rd March for lunch, though I liked everything, a check back during the meal could have been nicer considering the service charge on the bill. Will Recommend for a quick meal in this tourist place.

If it possible i will put 0 star, classic burger doesn’t contain any sauces , classic chicken doesn’t cooked well. I won’t try this restaurant again.

We were served by Alicia who was so lovely and accommodating, she takes service with a smile to a whole new level and the burgers were scrummy!

Service was great food was great but the restaurant is a bit grubby, ripped seats and seemed quite dark.

Restaurant was grubby was places in a booth with ripped seats. Glasses were dirty with old orange drainage on them. Despite being clear that one of the guests had allergies they brought out the wrong drink for her - this could have been really dangerous. Had the £7 lunch menu and ordered the buyer milk chicken burger, there was no chicken burger just a couple of small chicken goujons. Wasn’t impressed at all previous visits to other Byron’s were really enjoyable, felt like the chain has gone downhill

Great burgers and good choice of gluten free options. Disappointed they ran out of cheesecake. Deducted a star as we felt a little rushed out- bill brought without asking for it and the card machine presented while still enjoying our drinks. Plus adding a service charge to the bill for a burger place is a little keen! I'm happy to tip but it shouldn't be a given. Overall would come again.Dietary restrictions: Most burgers and sides available gluten free. Strange that milkshakes aren't gluten free!

Came to york with my family for the Jorvik festival and got recommended to come to Byron by Alicia who was handing out flyers! The food was lovely and so was the service also by Alicia :) She made us laugh a lot, she is a credit to your team!

Great quality food. Didn’t book but was seated and served pretty quickly and the food arrived pretty quick as well. Our server was great I can’t remember her name but she was blonde with a European accent and accommodated to our needs and was really friendly.

The waitress and service was excellent, the food was ok nothing really wrong with it but no wow factor. For a burger joint I was expecting something special for my cheese burger but that didn't
