Cracking little pub. Didn't eat here, but drinks and service were top notch. Food at other tables looked pretty decent, but had booked elsewhere. Hidden gem and a pleasant exception to the trend of pubs in York going downhill.
Food and service spot on. However the pub was very busy as I suspect it always is and the only table vacant was close to the gents loo's and the smell everytime the door was opened was terrible. Took the edge off a pleasant lunchtime visit.

Went to this pub just for the Speed quiz. Proper pub with plenty of choices for drinking. Great atmosphere and nice staff. Building is lovely. Quiz was great and even got free chips.
