“We come to York quite regularly and this the 1st place we stop at for coffee & a nibble x Today we took my son for the 1st time and were blown away by the amazing customer service. The lady brought out a selection of board games for us to play while we waited for our order which we all enjoyed playing, She couldn’t do enough for us absolutely recommend this cafe to everyone looking for a lovely cafe with gorgeous food, beautiful cakes, delicious coffee and amazing customer experience x Thank you so much for making our morning so pleasant x”

“We was staying in an Airbnb literally 30 seconds walk away and popped in for breakfast before a day of being a tourist. Highly highly recommend this place, food was absolutely beautiful. Waffles were divine and the meat was cooked perfectly! Coffee went down well too. Really nice comforting and warm reception by the staff. If we ever stay again, will pop in for breakfast again!”

“Fabulous little place in Helmsley, to stop off for a coffee and some cake (or a bite to eat, if you so fancy!) It was a bit of a tough one wondering where to choose, as there's a number of great-looking coffee shops in the area. But I decided upon the Cocoa Tree Cafe and I'm glad I did! On their menu, they offer a variety of things from toasted teacakes and ice cream, to sandwiches and quiches etc. I was in the mood for a coffee and a slice of cake, so went with a large cappuccino and a slice of their berry and citrus cake. Seeing as there was a table outside free, I decided to enjoy the warm weather and people-watch for a while. Of course, sitting outside, you're going to be by any traffic which passes by. I had the odd heavy vehicle pass by, but it didn't bother me. If you want something a bit quieter though, sitting inside might be the better option, of which there is more than adequate seating. The cake selection was nice and I'm sure, would satisfy most people. Served by a very nice gentleman, so that was a bonus! Would definitely recommend this coffee shop, if you're in Helmsley and looking for a place to sit and sip a coffee or have a bit to eat.”

“Popped in here today on my lunch break while working in the fulford area, pulled pork sandwich was unreal. Owner kindly allowed me to type up some work whilst eating lunch & enjoying a pot of Yorkshire tea ☕️ he even asked me for any music requests I had which I thought was just so lovely. Fair to say didn’t expect my elvis request at my age of 27! Lovely, calm and friendly atmosphere along with very good prices with an amazing choice food. You guys really made my day without even realising. Thank you so much - I’ll be back!”

“It's like you timetravelled back in time 1000 years ago but you're able to sip your coffee and tea on the castle walls. Must visit place when doing a castle walk around York. Tasty scones and great coffee 9.4/10!”
