Charming little cafe on the river built inside a quirky fortified tower. We sat right at the top of the tower in a little room filled with plants. The breakfast food was incredible! A little pricey but you got a decent portion and the ingredients were good quality. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast and drinks for 5 people was ~£70

My partner and I were visiting York and noticed this cafe on a stroll so we decided to come the next day as a treat after visiting the Museum. We were greeted by an incredibly friendly man who sat us down quickly and was very enthusiastic and attentive. We ordered an americano, hazelnut latte and the pistachio and orange brownie. WOW! This place is so cute! We sat in the tower room which is the most beautiful spot. Very private so quite romantic too! We had two coffees, a brownie and vegan sausage roll. The brownie was more like a ganache, but we still enjoyed it! The vegan sausage roll was so good - the tomato chutney was really tasty too. Service was great - friendly, professional and quick. I'd definitely go back again!
