Filthy. We went in about 6 months ago and it was dirty then so we just walked out.Went back today and no difference. Probably the same muck.?Tables dirtyKitchen wall covered in muck and handprints. Filth around the edges of the floor. Belt area covered in ingrained food waste.Staff pleasant but slow service.Won’t bother again. There are much better independents in York.

We booked a table on VDay at 6.30pm as my child wanted a conveyor belt sushi experience.the waiter say us down and the first thing my child noticed was where is the sushi? the conveyor only had handful of prawn crackers going round for the past 20 mins. We were told they are trying to put more food on but from past experience as a department manager and looking after a busy Yo sushi concesssion, i can tell they were struggling with just with 2 chefs and 2 waiters.Due to the lack of management and staffing you can see this place becoming a disaster. They didn't have drinks - Coke and Kids juice. even my green tea took 15 mins to arrive and that was after me having to ask for it.We were told to order of the Menu. The food was on the verge of getting food poisoning as both the Salmon maki and salmon and avocado were not fresh. The rice was so warm it melted the mayonnaise and heated the lifeless salmon. After waiting for over 30 mins, the conveyor belt finally had some salmon nigiri. My daughter was so happy she took a plate and appeared happy but once she bit into it, she spat it right out and I can clearly see why.The rice was warm and the rice vinegar was overpowering which made the sushi horrible. The salmon was not defrosted properly and dripping in water. We sat by the door and all we could hear were customers constantly being turned away. The place was dirty and lack of management /staff. I felt sorry for the staff as this was peak hour and having 2 waiters and 2 chefs cannot run a restaurant like this. They apologized so many times to everyone.

quite expensive for the portions that are given outespecially on the conveyor belt.for example £2.95 for literally 8 small prawn crackers.also took a long time for drinks order to be

Watching your meal be unpackaged in front of you kind of ruins the experience. Service was slow and we were ignored for almost 20 minutes, staff made a mistake on our order, drinking glasses were dirty. Never had a bad experience with YO before going to the york chain.

Don't really like sushi but my grand son absolutely loves

We waited a long time to be seated despite having booked and the waiting staff walking past numerous times without acknowledging us. The seating, table etc were all a bit grubby. Virtually no food going round the conveyor belt apart from some prawn crackers and some sad looking unappetising cucumbers. We ordered through the app but had to pay the waiting staff - really hard work to get anyone’s attention. Whole place felt chaotic and that no one was in charge. Poor value for money and poor customer service. We live in York and have been in here many times before - it was my daughter’s favourite. We won’t be coming back!

Sadly this was just not up to standard. The service was ok, there was a decent selection on the conveyor belt but dirty soy jars, filthy glassware and food scattered all over the area we were sat in is just not acceptable. It's strange because the food was tasty but once you see poor hygiene it put me off completely. Why is this being allowed Yo sushi?

Can not say is the best sushi i ever had but it was fresh and had a pretty good taste. Friendly servers and a chill place.

Everything was good. The waiter was friendly, but there was a long wait for the food ordered on the app to arrive at our table. The food itself was delicious, albeit relatively pricey. All in all, we were glad to have dined there.

The business model of Yo sushi was the sushi on the conveyor belt. You pick from a variety of plates and pay afterwards. In the past great experience but this Thursday was awfull! Almost no plates and choice on converyor belt, ordering was complicated and orders didn’t arrive on the handhelds. Personal apologized but the problems were definitely structural. I hope it will be better soon. Very disappointed

The cooks were continually shouting to the point we could barely hear ourselves talk, and by the time my friends food came I'd nearly finished mine. What's more, rather there being an ambiguity to why this was the case like in most restaurants, here you could blatantly see the cooks laughing and joking as opposed to getting on with the cooking. Thankfully, the food was really good when it came, but the service was third rate with staff that had no manners.

Massively understaffed, the girl serving us was on her own, rushed off her feet, covering at least 30 customers, she was lovely and friendly but come on Yo!! You need more

SO VERY COLD We asked to move table after we ordered and was told the temperature isn't any better anywhere else.We would of cancelled the order but we were starving and needed to eat. The hot food was probably hot when made but was freezing cold within a short time of getting it.We were upset about the whole experience, we told our server but she did nothing to help apart from apologise.Would like to of spoken with the manager but they were nowhere to be seen.In future if your heating is broken you should be telling people straight away at the door. This was our first stop after travelling a while to get to York, it was a very bad start to our day.
