We had a delightful Mother’s Day lunch and were looked after superbly by Henry and Becky. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The choice and quality of the food was excellent. We will definitely visit again.Dietary restrictions: The children were dairy intolerant so we were given the iPad to be able to check all dishes.

First visit and my goodness what a beautiful experience!Booked in for the mother's day set menu - I noted on my reservation that my mum has limited mobility. We were 5 minutes early and it was extremely busy at 6pm - my mum was immediately offered a seat which was greatly appreciated. We were then approached by a guy from behind the bar to take a drink order while we waited, again greatly appreciated. A little wait while being passed by lots of smiling, happy staff and good smelling food. We were then told a table was available in the back corner, but given the choice to have something closer to the door with a short wait which we opted for. My mum felt incredibly cared for as many other restaurants would have just stuck her in the first available space, but your staff really considered her comfort. There were waits between having orders taken and things arriving etc but we completely understood because it was so busy and it didn't feel unreasonable. I even had an issue with my scallops not being seared nicely and it was replaced immediately with a perfect plate. The food was absolutely gorgeous, perfectly portioned, and the cocktails were absolutely to die for (thank you Sam for those!)We were even approached at the end of the night while we waited for our ride to ask if we'd had a nice night and to wish my mum a happy mother's day. Beautiful touch, and an absolutely perfect experience. The decor is stunning and cozy, food amazing, but what made us so impressed was how lovely and genuinely thoughtful all of your staff were - you should be incredibly proud.Thank you for an amazing night! I'll certainly be recommending and coming back

We booked for the set Mother's Day menu, the dining room was absolutely packed as to be expected although we did go for an evening booking. Service was variable with long periods of waiting, mains appeared when starter plates etc hadn't been cleared. Food quality was variable, the chive mash was returned as a tiny portion of warm crispy potato, veg and roast potatoes were cool to say the least but didn't return meals as had waited too long and my 5 year old was eager to get started. I have always felt a bit dissapointed with the Fox & Hounds if honest and always for the same reasons. Decor is lovely but not a cheap menu and sadly quality does not match the price. Would honestly debate another visit here.

Just awful. Looks great. Priced like it will be great but to be honest I'd rather have gone to the beefeater down the road. 30 quid steak looked like it could be from tesco whilst sat in the freezing cold.Frankly I'm absolutely disgusted with the price of this place and the low quality food and service that was delivered. I will not be returningPlease note that no email has been recieved by me or my wife

I regret to say that my recent dining experience here was highly disappointing. Upon arrival, we were offered water for the table, only to be shocked by a £4.50 charge which was not disclosed upfront on our bill. Throughout the meal, the staff provided minimal service, leaving us neglected in a forgotten corner of the conservatory. The overpowering music made conversation impossible, while a blinding spotlight remained unadjusted despite requests to the staff, my partner had to do this. Adding to the discomfort were the garden chairs and a persistent draught from the door. Although the starters showed promise, the main courses were a dismal failure. The burger was mainly gristle, and the steak, ordered medium rare, resembled shoe leather cooked to well-done. Even my dogs' dinner from the night before looked more appetising (image attached). To top it off, the staff seemed more interested in clearing tables than addressing our concerns or taking payment. Needless to say, I will not be returning here and feel out money was well and truly wasted.** edit - please not no email has been received by myself or my husband. **

Fabulous meal in equally fabulous surroundings. We each had 3 courses and finished every plate of food! Grace who served us was lovely.. Will certainly be back again soon. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
