The Witch and The Sow is probably not known because of its Vegan Cuisine but my wife, my daughter and myself dropped in after visiting Coton Manor Gardens today, just on the off chance they could could cope with 3 long-term vegans. Although there was nothing on the menu, the owner, Bernard, personally made us a Vegan Mediterranean Tagliatelle that we all felt was really first class. Very tasty and not at all expensive. We suggested he should include it on the menu in future and we will definitely call again on our next visit to Coton Manor.Malcolm Lewis 17/02/2024

I’ve had some nice meals in here, and always found the bar staff very friendly and efficient, however my experience tonight was a total letdown!Having had a really good pizza there a couple of weeks ago, I decided to try again tonight.Although I had been led to believe that the visiting pizza company would be there weekly, I found tonight that they would be there “occasionally”. Being in a hurry I ordered (at 6:30) ham egg and fries. That shouldn’t take long, a commercial kitchen would have a large turnover of fries, eggs only take a couple of minutes to fry and the ham just needs carving (or removing from a packet!).At 7:15 I enquired as to the progress of my meal and was told that it would be ready in 5 minutes. At 7:30 I gave up and left!Thankfully, for the future, there are many other pubs/restaurants in the area to choose from.I would suggest that, maybe, the chef needs to consider a different career!Bernard, thank you for the response, and for giving the reasons for delay. However, the other “party” in the pub were only one table (of 4?) who received food soon after I arrived, and there were no other people eating, so hardly much pressure on the kitchen. The saving grace with your pub is that, when it arrives, the food is normally very good, your music festival was amazing and you have a very friendly and capable team of bar staff. I still can’t help but get the feeling that the “kitchen staff” consists of only one person!

Good quality freshly prepared food & reasonably priced. Friendly & welcoming staff. Barman stole my pint glass when there was still half a sip of beer left, but gave me some free mini eggs so I will let him off ?Nice night out thank you shall return soon.
