We went with a big party of 19 for our pre wedding meal in December and from the start of the booking process until the end of the meal we had a great experience. As it was a large party and just before Christmas we had to provide our food options in advance but we had a lot of options as well as some additional vegan options. We also had some allergies that were well catered for. The food was served very timely on the night and was delicious. The service was wonderful and. The atmosphere was so cosy. It really got us in the festive and celebratory mood for the wedding the next day and was the perfect way to start off the celebrations!

We were greeted with a very warm welcome from Annie and April with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. They made us and our Labradors feel very welcome. The Sunday roast was excellent and could not be beaten anywhere in the country. Looking forward to going back very soon.

My daughter and I booked for Christmas lunch and I have to say, it was exceptional. Never had a better meal out. It started with a selection of hors de oeuvres, then a starter, a main course - the best beef wellington I've ever been served; for dessert I chose a ginger ice cream bombe and my daughter a winter berry crumble. A cheese board followed, at which point, we surrendered and asked for a doggy bag, which was promptly supplied. As we prepared to leave The Crown, the proprietor reminded us that we'd not had the mince pies and coffee, adding the pies to the doggy bag. An excellent experience, a great Christmas atmosphere and a very prompt and attentive service, definitely looking to repeat it, even if I have to wait 12 months.

I had a great experience here. The greeting and service were both amazing. Lovely and quaint place with lovely roaring fires. The food was really good, I had the vegetarian roast, which was great. Not local to me, I met a friend there but well worth the drive. It's on the pricy side, and they include an above average service charge, which personally I think should be optional, however the service was great when we there.

What an excellent experience we've had today at The Crown. It's a beautiful, quaint building and with the roaring fires provides a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and cooked well - my lamb shank was tender and tasty and the traditional turkey dinner was a delight for the eyes and equally enjoyed. It was a little more pricey than I'd usually pay - but for the quality of the food, the excellent service and the general experience, well worth it.

We had high hopes with food after reading the reviews, unfortunately we ended up with very long waits for the food which was over cooked fish and chips. It was extremely loud which given how small the pub is was expected but the locals were so loud that we could hardly hear ourselves speak, they also were quite derogatory about women in their loud conversations. We noticed that the prices on the website menu were different to what was on the menu in the restaurant and then when we received the bill the price was even more so 3 different prices just on fish and chips. We don’t think it correct to force a service charge on customers, especially when there is no reference to it anywhere.

I have been here several times before and enjoyed our meal. On this occasion very disappointed. The service was poor and although my meal was very nice albeit very small, my friends meals were very inadequate. The food appeared to be either frozen and cooked or double cooked. Staff were impatiently waiting for us to leave even thought only 9:50 on a Friday evening (I do not think we were being unreasonable). We spent almost £200 on food that really was not worth it. We are frequent eaters out and happy to pay for good food but this was extremely overpriced. We will sadly not return.

I was hoping for so much more. I’ll set the scene, I love dogs, but I don’t really enjoy a noisy dog wandering around when I’m eating. The gentleman that greeted me was a nice chap, but the younger lady waitress was sullen, very slow and somewhat grumpy. I ordered sirloin of beef, it took an age to arrive, sadly it was very poor. The beef was tasteless, too much gristle and a poor portion size, the veg again not a lot of taste, the dauphinois potatoes were undercooked, the gravy not much better than gravy granules. I asked for some mustard, the somewhat sullen waitress took an age to return with a tiny amount of it, she gave off an aura of not wanting to be there. I was still hungry and ordered an apple tarte tatin for desert, this was OK(ish), but nothing special. Then my cappuccino coffee to finish was lukewarm and quite tiny. It seemed like a right shenanigans for the waitress to make the coffee, I could see her struggling with the machine in the corner of my eye. When some other guests arrived the waitress gave them their menus and told them that fish and chips was also available, I had not been told this and from what I could see after their food was delivered it appeared somewhat better than the poor main course I had been given. Again very disappointing, as there is no doubt that I would have offered fish and chips had I been given that option. I hate giving bad reviews, but when I went to the bar to settle up, I politely but very clearly made my views known to the somewhat grumpy waitress, she did nothing to try and put it right, all she said was she would tell the chef and was quite dismissive in her manner. At that point I decided to leave this review and I do so with some regret, if only she had been chirpier and placated me a little.

This is a great place to stop in and get a pint or have a great dinner. Food was 10/10. Place is cozy and warm and feel like a true English pub experience. Service is so friendly, Nathan and Annie were fantastic! I will definitely be back on my next visit!

It's a nice pub to stop at and have some food and drinks. The staff are friendly and food was really nice.Rooms: Our room was small but adequate for a night, the bathroom was really nice with a double shower. We found the room very warm in the morning.Nearby activities: National trust Cannon Ashby is 5 mins by car easy to get to, with plenty to see and do.Food & drinks: The food was really nice in the evening, but breakfast was disappointing. We had to clean up after other residents and had to find our own cups in the morning.

We love this pub. The staff are really friendly and attentive. The food is amazing. We had pork belly, duck breast and a steak and all were cooked to perfection. If you’re looking for a village pub with great staff and amazingly tasty food then the Crown in Weston is the place to go!!
