I arrived here late in the evening and the welcoming, friendliness and warmth of the atmosphere was so heartfelt, I felt immediately at at home somewhere I had never been before!I sat at the bar and joined the locals having a drink.The food was so delicious - I had the schnitzel (highly recommend) and it was uniquely combined with sautéed potatoes (healthier option than chips) which I loved and tomatoes! Went for a drive out to this pub at Lower Boddington as we hadn't been there before. Ended up having Sunday dinner. Food was excellent. Although it was brought out already plated up, we couldn't fault it. Four different vegetables, plenty of gravy, crispy roast potatoes & served piping hot. We had a lovely evening here last night (the two of us and our 6 month old baby). The place is very cosy and the staff extremely friendly. I had fish and chips and my partner had the chicken burger and strawberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious, authentic and very filling.
