Went with the family this evening for the ‘burger and pint’; new in was the battered portobello mushroom burger. Absolutely amazing and a lovely little ‘surprise’ when cutting in - you will need a set of cutlery to tackle this one ?

Wednesday night is Burger and Beer for £10. This is the second week of the running of this promotion and I have had two different burgers. First I had was Korean BBQ Spiced chicken and this weeks Chinese Pork Cracker. Both of these burgers were superb and full of flavour and I would highly recommend them, as I did last night when other customers asked about them. Well done team Star and Garter.

1st visit to this very old pub, in a lovely village as we meet friends from further north and this is about halfway for us all. We choose to try here as dogs very welcome and saves having to leave him at home all day.On entering pub, busy with people having a Sunday lunchtime drink. Staff very welcming and friendly and nothing too much trouble. Small menu but a nice selection of starters and desserts.
