I was part of a group which ate at the Winter Mill restaurant in January 2024, and sadly none of us will be looking to repeat the experience. The soup starter was indifferent, but problems really began with the main courses, which in my case consisted of what was quite-obviously the starter version of the dish I’d ordered.Our waitress saw nothing wrong with the very-small portion offered, but was eventually prevailed upon to return with the full-size version of the dish. Service was awful we visited this evening for meal the food was good but service was terrible we waited 40 mins for desserts and then when I asked the girl she had forgot so waited another 15 mins. Sorry will not be back too expensive much better restaurants with more reasonable prices and much better service.

We had a lunch for the first time here and in arrival sought out the Mill Race Restaurant. A waiter sort of grunted the direction when we asked where it was with little interest in us. On arrival for our booked table we were seated right away. There we waited for bit and eventually menus were brought. I asked for a well known non alcoholic cocktail but they hadn't the stuff to make it, so settled for orange instead.
