Absolutely gorgeous food. I had the steak sandwich and my husband had a chicken caeser salad sandwich which they kindly made him. The steak sandwich was amazing, cooked rare and a high quality cut. Lovely atmosphere and brilliant food - we will be back in the summer!

Looking for a dog friendly pub ( 2 dogs both well behaved) on a recent stay in Ballycastle. Stuck our heads round the front door and met the Fintan who invited us all in! Best bar find and great Guinness. Made so welcome and scored with a great snug out of the way. Make it a priority to pop in. No loud flatscreens too! Old world charm.

The restaurant serves quality food, better and more interesting than standard pub fare. I enjoyed smoked cod served on boiled baby potatoes with broccoli and a creamy mushroom sauce. My fellow diner tucked into an excellent rare sirloin with onion rings, chips and veg.

We 3 old uns decided to have a North Coast drive and Sunday dinner and I'm so glad I ignored the negative reviews of the Diamond Bar in Ballycastle, because we had the most delicious meal with the best of craic with the staff - it made our day! Between us we had Roast Beef, Turkey and Ham and Gammon Steak, followed by Pavlova, Sponge cake and Custard and the naughtiest Chocolate and Caramel Fudge cake in the world! Thank goodness I saved a corner for that... I was so impressed with the whole dining experience, I sought out the owner, Liam McVeigh, to tell him and thank him and his lovely staff. We will definitely be back, for such a great meal, at reasonable price with beyond friendly service, and we will certainly recommend the Diamond Bar - I can't wait to tell our other friends.

We really loved the food here and they were able to accommodate 19 of us. The food was so tasty that some of the party called back the next night. Staff very friendly and helpful will definitely be back.

We were recommended by the locals to eat here and it certainly didn't disappoint! The food was amazing and loads of it to the point my mum had to take half of hers home with her. Staff were exceptional and I was readily informed by my stepfather that the Guinness was the best he has tasted in a long time. Four of us ate here and we all got an exceptional meal (I had the Salted Chilli Chicken and it was amazing) Definitely eat here if you are in Ballycastle!

Had dinner here as they allowed dogs in the front bar area. Food was fantastic, my scampi was the best I think I've had, good generous portions and cooked to perfection. We were there on a Monday evening and it was very busy and they were turning loads away. I would definitely book if you can to avoid disappointment.
