Large group of us went here to celebrate a birthday. Could not fault one single thing. Staff were brilliant and the menu/food also really good. There was a gentleman playing live music, not too loud and added to the great atmosphere. Would definitely come back.

Anna the receptionist was spot on due to a company over site on which they had not booked a room. She sorted swiftly would recommend 100%

I took my grandparents here for afternoon tea as a treat before returning back home. Very cosy restaurant, beautiful presentation and yummy food. All fresh and very light. The service was great too. We all left feeling very happy.

I recently visited this restaurant with my wife. It was the first time we had been here since the refurbishment. I have to say it was just beautiful, we were really taken back how good it was. The food, service and atmosphere were just fantastic. I couldn't praise it enough - just see for yourself.

Went for afternoon tea but unfortunately not worth the £60 for two which was a birthday gift and we were really looking forward to. Bread and scones not fresh and only savory was a cream cracker. Staff were pleasant.

We booked a table at McAllisters for 7.30pm on Saturday 25th March. When we arrived I could see the restaurant was full and no one was near finishing their meals, we were seated in the very busy bar area right next to the singer, not ideal! We weren't offered drinks so my husband & nephew went to the bar, one barman on who was swamped with orders for the restaurant and people waiting at the bar, we eventually got our drinks, ordered the meal, which was very good, but for spending £300 for our night out I don't expect to be sat in the bar, if we'd wanted to do this we'd have gone to a pub and spent half the money. I understand they were very busy that night but if you don't have tables free do not take bookings, overall it was a very disappointing evening as we had booked this night out to be able to talk to each other without shouting over the bar noise and without being totally disrespectful to the poor guy singing to the very uninterest crowd. I did email Tullyglass but to date haven't had the courtesy of a reply. The only reason I'll be returning is because I have a voucher to spend, when that's gone I doubt we'll be back.

Had the lunch special menu. Service was fast and friendly . Excellent choice of starters, mains, desserts and beverages. All very fresh, good portions and the deal is reasonably priced

We brought two guests for dinner and ordered three chicken meals and one burger. Everything was fine and the food and service was excellent until a group of 25 somethings descended en mass to watch the Great British Bake Off. They were loud and surrounded us, making us feel uncomfortable. The staff offered to move us to another part of the restaurant so we could finish our meal in relative peace. We were offered free beverages, but since only one of us was drinking alcohol, it was a cheap get out!! It was a pity and I don't blame the hotel, but I would have expected a discount on the bill at least. Perhaps next time we will try the Carvery!!!
