Sadly, not even a cheap Christmas cracker on the table, a wee mince pie with the coffee and tea, or even an annoying “Last Christmas” or “Jingle Bells” in the background. That said, the food was great and the staff were lovely - even though the only sign it was our staff Christmas Lunch was my Santa hat and a collection of festive jumpers! ????
Great food. Love the carvery. Have also been here for special events and functions. I have always enjoyed myself here. Food is excellent and staff are always welcoming. Great venue for weddings and special dinners as well as lunch with friends. Special rates for older folks in the carvery some days.

We had booked for the carvery and again the food was excellent. The roast beef is amazing and we have not found it as tender anywhere else (yet!). The price includes starters, main meal, dessert, and tea/coffee and compares very favorably with any other places we have visited. We would recommend booking a 'slot' (maybe midweek) as the venue is very popular and busy, particularly at weekends.
