You know when you really fancy a chippy dinner and 9 out of 10 times, it's a disappointment?Well, not Superfy....It was how chippy used to be when I was a kid. The batter is the lightest I've seen in absolute years. Add chips, peas, onions & gravy and YUMM! Gravy was really light by chipshop standards. Well this is a true greasy spoon fish & chippy. I mean you can smell the beef dripping in the air when standing outside, so you can't claim any hidden fats here as the fat liberally coats the food and stains the bag. This is the wrong food. I know it. It's almost as unhealthy as it gets but from time to time I still want to eat it. I paid £6 for a fresh cod in a battered overcoat and chips. Love Joe Burns' fish and chips. Cheap, warm and delicious...and walking distance from my in laws. Just make sure you eat them right out of the brown paper they are wrapped in. So good.
