We had Sunday lunch for six, with an age range of 9 to 78. There was plenty to choose from and we all enjoyed what we had. Everything was well presented and very tasty. We thoroughly recommend it and the service was very helpful

The welcome from the hosts was warm. Decor is simple and attractive The food was out of this world! Absolutely delighted to find this restaurant serving flavoursome and incredibly tasty food! The ingredients are totally fresh and the chefs were happy to accommodate allergies and personal tastes Would highly recommend and next time I'll take photos to share!

If you enjoy Japanese food this restaurant is well worth a visit. Good food and service and a comfortable, well presented and clean environment. Well worth a visit. Currently BYOB.

Lovely food, great vegetarian options, fish is very fresh. Feels very authentic. I ordered the typanniki breaded tofu and my boyfriend ordered the typanniki breaded seabass and shared avocado sushi. All of it was very nice and fresh!

Fantastic venue for people who love japanese food. Service is great and prices are affordable. Will be back! When they open for sit in.

The food is good, really nice for a change from the norm. Very very expensive for the portion size by a long way. Expect to pay £50-£70 for three people with a couple of sides. There are restaurant's locally you can eat at for alot less.

Food was 2hrs late, rang to ask where my order was and manager in a very aggressive and rude tone that it wasn't his problem and blamed on just eat. Clearly no concern for good customer service and really do not recommend.

Amazing food. Still waiting on the renovations to be completed as it is currently only open for take away.

Stopped in here to pick up some dinner to eat on the ferry back to Scotland. My husband and I each ordered a rice bowl and a fruit tea.The portion size was on the smaller side, but the food was lovely. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl and appreciated that the sauce was in a separate pot so as not to make all the contents soggy. Generous amount of sauce, too! (I used less than half). The tsukemono in the bowl were great as well. Loved the pickled red onions. The tea was perfectly sweet, refreshing and well flavoured. I had the strawberry black tea and I'd recommend it.The folks working last night were friendly enough, and asked us which utensils we'd prefer - forks or chopsticks. This was appreciated by my husband who is still improving his chopstick proficiency :)The wait was only around 10 minutes and we made use of the small seating area as we waited. If you plan on sitting in to eat, bear in mind it's a bar style arrangement with only a few seats. For the type of food we thought the prices were okay. Par for the course with Japanese food. Quality and selection wise we felt like it was good value for money.(Bonus: I wasn't able to order it yesterday, but I saw that this place does mackerel sushi which is my favourite and heartbreakingly difficult to find. I've only found one other place in the UK that does it. Extra brownie points for Kamakura!)

Staff were so disinterested when I arrived and didn't acknowledge me. I waited at the counter for nearly ten minutes until I could get the attention of one and ask if I could place an order, was abruptly told that he'd get to me soon, then waited another five minutes before he came back. He took my friend's order then wandered away before I could tell him mine, and though my friend called him back saying I wanted to order I had lost my patience and decided to go elsewhere. There were no apologies throughout for the complete lack of service and the staff weren't friendly or polite to me or any of the other people waiting in the reception area. So disappointed as the ones in Belfast are brilliant but the staff here are letting themselves down.

Don’t be fooled by the low rating the food is absolutely delicious. I was really happy with my sushi, it had a great selection and the wasabi and ginger you could tell was of high quality and tasted lovely The katsu curry was aswell and presented nicely. I aso got a taro bubble tea which was amazing, I’m so glad we finally have a place that does bubble tea in carrickfergus. The staff were all very friendly and the restaurant was nicely decorated. I will definitely be back.

The service was excellent as I was asked if I wanted my taro milk tea while I waited or refrigerated until the rest of my order was prepared, I’m a big fan of Japanese food and I believe this is some of the best that I’ve tried as the salmon was soft and the rice was perfect consistency, I was addicted to the sushi I had and would definitely go back for more. You get quite a lot of food and the tapioca pearls were extremely soft and tasty.
