quite disappointing. the staff were nice enough but the food was honestly awful. tasteless, and the plates were roasting to touch which usually means it was all microwaved. I dont like to leave a poor review but just being honest. lost my appetite for days after it.

Orderd mixed grill.. Steak was burnt to a char..peas wer as hard as marbles complete order not fulfilled... Partner orderd fish and chips and the batter was raw and the fish actually had some scales on it...wen we tried to get the waitress attention she kept turning around and walked away.. We gave up and went to walk out as we did I said to the fella that the food was a disgrace.. He said he would let chef know then the waitress said to him yea ther food was burnt etc.... Bloody disgrace...

Terrible service. Booked a table for 2 with my disabled dad and specially asked for a high chair on my booking. We where left standing for 5 minutes plus not know where our seat or High chair was. Terrible experience will never be back. Food isn't even that nice we just went there because there was a play area for kids and even it wasn't open. So we walked out and went somewhere else

Visited there yesterday for a meal as previously food had been good. Yesterday it was disgusting my husband and I had ribs and battered haddock.....greasy with soggy chips. Should have complained but didn't.... won't be returning.

We'd been to Brewers Farye in Carrickfergus several years ago, while staying at the connected Premier Inn.Food and Atmosphere were pretty good and we were planning to try again.Entered the restaurant and waited, no booking so didn't want to have any issues if full.Member of staff, said I'll be right with you, she was carrying food so thought no issues. She then returned to kitchen with the food and after coming out of rear area, proceeded to serve a customer who was at the bar. Said customer went to bar after we'd arrived and we'd been acknowledged by waitress.Looked at each other and walked out.Got better service and food up the road.The bar was nearly empty for a Bank Holiday Friday night and limited number of staff

Avoid eating here if you like food.The last time I was there was over 3 years ago, and I was disappointed then. The front house staff were friendly and pleasant, much like the last time. Thought why not give it a go could have improved... oh, how wrong can you get.Ordered a mixed grill and was asked how I wanted the steak "medium rare." I said well when the food turned up, I kid you not the steak was overcooked unseasoned and to be honest I've seen boot leather look more appetising, the chicken was dry and flavourless the fried eggs were rubber and overcooked , I'm sure they were from the breakfast left overs the way the rigamortis was set in, and the pepper sauce was just awful it would not surpriseme if it was from an out of date colmans packet.I don't expect 5* Michelin food from restaurants like this, but I do expect to be able to enjoy my meal. Can I ask the managers of the hotel or restaurant to give the kitchen staff an option to either sign a legally binding contract to never go into a kitchen and cook ever again and take a different career path or face a firing squad in the car park.
