Derg Arms

Friendly welcoming country hotel. Mrs Wall the owner and her daughter run a fantastic place. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is wonderful. We were a group of 8 cousins on a reunion trip. Most evenings we sat by the open fire in the lounge reminiscing.

El greco in Castlederg, County Tyrone is an absolute gem and easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. From start to finish, everything was exceptional.

The food was simply amazing. We tried a variety of dishes, including tangatelli, several chicken dishes, and the unforgettable Bee Sting pizza. We also sampled a selection of breads and sauces from the menu, and honestly, every single mouthful was fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Even more impressive was that all the food was served together, piping hot, despite the restaurant being very busy.

The service was impeccable - friendly, attentive, and professional without ever feeling rushed. You really feel looked after from the moment you walk in.

The ambience adds to the whole experience. Downstairs offers a relaxed, casual eating area, while upstairs provides a more intimate restaurant setting - perfect for a special night out. The atmosphere throughout is warm, welcoming, and sensational.

El greco is a true 10/10 restaurant, and I genuinely can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re anywhere near Castlederg, this place is an absolute must-visit. ?✨

Perfect fried fish and crispy french fries with just the right amount of vinegar & salt..... The perfect dinner & entertainment for the family vacation night out in the Killeter / Castlederg area.

The Pizza Oven

Just moved over here, first takeaway we've had and did not disappoint! Prices are fantastic, food quality and amount is well worth them - and it's all topped by the staff who were friendly, welcoming and helpful. More than happy to stick with here as our regular pizza place!

They got the order somewhat wrong but we didn't notice till we got home and it was to late to go back again. Unfortunately it was cash only and not many of us carry cash.

Jax Coffee House & Bistro

Fantastic find at the Derg. Tucked away on the Diamond, the fresh homemade food and beautiful coffee were soooo good. Don't miss it as the other coffee alternatives in Castlederg are miles off it. Enjoy!
