I called in Eleanor’s bakery, Spencer road today for a cream finger for my mum to take out, was so shocked to be charged £1.00 for 1 small tastleless bun. I thought the lady who was lovely made a mistake and I was taking it home with me, but it was the same price whether you sit in or take it away. How can they justify this, when all other bakery’s can sell this out at 50-60 pence and much nicer. I will never call there again and would not recommend.

We recently got a cake from here for a family birthday. The cake looked fine but the sweet cream in the middle had something really off in it. It was like a soapy or chemical type taste that left me and others gagging. Weve got lots of family cakes from here before with no issues but something went seriously wrong with this cake. Collected a cake on Sat 15th May for a birthday but unfortunately the cream was spoiled and it was inedible. Emailed and rang but the owner Robert has been dodging speaking with me since. Have been getting cakes from here for over 6 years and never a problem before but I wasn't even offered as much as an apology. Terrible customer service after repeatedly calling into the bakery.
