If you enjoy tea then this is the place for you! This tea room has a huge selection of teas and it is made to perfection. Some really unusual blends, all excellent quality and perfectly timed to give the best brew. Whilst tea is the star of the show, there are also some lovely meals including soups, cakes and scones. Staff are friendly and welcoming, especially to children.

Dropped by on a Monday afternoon after our visit to the Alnwick Castle and when we couldn’t get a table at the nearby Grannies, but we were pleasantly surprised by how good the teas (we had the Gyokuro green tea and the Lover’s Lane tea) and the cheese scones are. Lovely little place and very friendly staff, highly recommended!

Lovely cafe and tea delivery serviceAbout a year back we went there randomly whilst visiting the town and had a lovely winter soup and tea with very kind service. I bought a bag of tea to take home. Some months later when it ran out I ordered a few more bags on the website on a Saturday afternoon. I was very surprised to receive a package with the tea on the Monday morning beautifully wrapped. They also just sent me some Christmas tea out of the blue as a gift. They are one of the few companies these days that really are a delight to work with.

The tea and cake were excellent in the cafe. But slightly disappointed with the loose leaf tea we bought to take away. Even with a very fine mesh tea strainer you get sediment in your tea. Needs to be brewed using one of the filter bags they sell, but we weren't told that at the time.

Lovely tea and coffee shop selling a wide variety of teas. Nice food, very clean and Covid19 protection in place. Only critisim is that we noticed a small sticker on menu stating that couldn't claim vat, but that 10 percent would be added to total cost of bill.

I was recommended the Bari Tea Brewery by a friend and was not disappointed. The range of teas on offer was vast with many interesting flavours! I had the green ginger tea with a scone which was freshly baked and was very tasty! Service was very good and all the staff very friendly.

Beautiful tea cafe you can see heart and sole has been put into every detail. Staff are friendly and well versed in products. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced and delicious. Felt safe and Covid free in the environment. Will definately be visiting again.

Great selection of teas but delicious homemade soup & scones. We also have a dog and with tables outside we managed to have lunch here. The staff were great, provided advice about the teas and also brought water for our dog. Would highly recommend this place.

Drove from Newcastle for a lovely walk in Hulne Park to work up an appetite for the light lunch we had booked at Bari. Temperature taken at the door, all hygiene precautions followed. Social distancing strictly observed, including taking contact details. Soup with a cheddar and mustard scone was delicious. I had sweet potato and leek - a combination I would never have thought of, but now may need to make it. Absolutely delicious. The roasted veg was equally delicious, and very filling. The cheese and mustard scones are to die for and huge! Nor do they skimp on the butter, which is always a (not so secret) niggle of mine. Be warned - we booked for 1.15pm, and the soup was almost gone. Be early or be disappointed! For those with a sweet tooth, a delicious selection of cakes was on offer and ice cream is locally sourced. The menu includes tasting notes on all the teas on offer, which can also be bought in the little shop. The tea is served complete with tea bag tweezers and disposal container, and an egg timer. Customers are given instructions on the best amount of time to allow for the brewing of their chosen tea. The shop has testing jars so you can smell the teas to aid your purchase. If you are not a tea lover, other drinks, including filter coffee, are available. Perhaps not the best note on which to end, but the hygiene in the loo is amazing. Sanitising wipes are provided so you can clean the essentials after use (and before, if you wish) AND it is twinned with a loo in Africa. A fabulous touch - so to speak. I highly recommend Bari for a real tea experience

Quite busy in Alnwick so went in here for a coffee and cake. Quite small inside but they did try to cover the Covid rules. Cake was good but a very small piece. Tea cake okay. Had two filter coffees and the price was nearly £14 which thought was overpriced.

This was our first visit to the Bari Tea Brewery after coming across whole wondering the lovely market town of Alnwick The young lady that greeted us at the door was pleasant and very friendly and apologised for having to take our temperature while in these strange times On being quickly shown to our table our host explained what homemade scones they had in offer and then left us to make our choice On her return my wife had the cheddar and mustard scone with red onion jam and filter coffee while I had a toasted tea cake and a pot of the Bari breakfast tea Our Oder was quickly at our table and any of our needs where quickly met by more than helpful hostess My wife was blown away by the incredible taste and texture of her scone which was complimented beautifully by red onion jam My tea cake was lovely and light and full of plumb sultanas The tea was also beautifully blended and had a pleasant taste with a full bodied flavour I would highly recommend this little gem of a cafe both for the food and also for the earth and friendliness of the staff.

Gorgeous place, just has those added touches that makes it so lovely. Tea was gorgeous and the dairy free cake was insanely good! ? Staff were so friendly and helpful too. Would definitely return if we ever visit the area again.

What a lovely tea room with a large selection of loose leaf teas, that can also be bought in their tea shop. The tea ordered came with a timer so that you knew when it was properly stewed. The crumpets with honey were delicious. Everything was plastic free which was great to see, with honey in a dish with a metal spoon. Covid-19 measures are in place, this is one of the few establishments that actually check your temperature before seating you at a table. Fantastic traditional tea room well worth a visit if in Alnwick.

Been coming Alnwick for a long time and never been in until today, all I can say is how stupid I am for not coming sooner. One of the best soup and scones i have had in my life time, cannot recommend this fantastic tea room enough. It will not be decade's before we are back again.
