Dropped by on a Monday afternoon after our visit to the Alnwick Castle and when we couldn’t get a table at the nearby Grannies, but we were pleasantly surprised by how good the teas (we had the Gyokuro green tea and the Lover’s Lane tea) and the cheese scones are. Lovely little place and very friendly staff, highly recommended!
Lovely cafe and tea delivery serviceAbout a year back we went there randomly whilst visiting the town and had a lovely winter soup and tea with very kind service. I bought a bag of tea to take home. Some months later when it ran out I ordered a few more bags on the website on a Saturday afternoon. I was very surprised to receive a package with the tea on the Monday morning beautifully wrapped. If you enjoy tea then this is the place for you! This tea room has a huge selection of teas and it is made to perfection. Some really unusual blends, all excellent quality and perfectly timed to give the best brew. Whilst tea is the star of the show, there are also some lovely meals including soups, cakes and scones. Staff are friendly and welcoming, especially to children.
