Walked here from our campsite. Good location but it gets really busy so make sure you book. Burger wasn't the best but the caramel apple Betty made up for

Went for a drink while staying at local camping site. Booked Dinner for following evening.Unfortunately meal was not great, would not recommend ( and you shouldn't go wrong with steak )However, staff were fabulous but were run off their feet.

Stressed staff refused to serve me a lemon posset outside. On the plus side the bar appeared to be dog friendly (we had to sit outside as all tables reserved even though several were empty)

Had an early dinner of fish and chips with a prawn salad starter. Our server Clare was both friendly and helpful. The prices were very reasonable and a very nice change from the previous evening’s meal at a nearby fish restaurant. Strongly recommend

We have holidayed nearby for years, but this was our first visit to the Cottage Inn. We are very pleased that we chose. It has a large, delightful garden which is dog friendly. Parking is plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lunch menu offered plenty of choice. The hand cut chips were perfect as was the rest of the food. I need to explain that this was our first visit to the Cottage Inn because we have always previously been to a nearby pub which is very popular. If you know Craster you will know where I mean. It has become far too overpriced and overrated, in our view, so the Cottage Inn is now our favourite and I recommend it very highly.

Lovely pub. Welcoming to humans and dogs. We ate there twice whilst staying in the near by caravan park. The food was good and I think value for money. Good pub food. My only slight negative comment is the puddings were a bit boring. Very tasty but ordinary. I would still go back anyway.

We were staying around the corner and decided to go for some lunch. And what can i say, i'm so pleased we decided to go here. Warm and welcome from the get go. We opted to sit outside as we had 5 children. And what a lovely and massive garden they have. A great little park for younger ones. Ordered our food and drinks and within 15minutes it arrived. Everything was all home made. Steak and Ale pie and home made chips, chicken burger and chips, kids nugget meals, beef burger and chips and hot baguette sandwich.. every single bit of food was spot on and not much left. portions were a good size to. Defo a hidden little gem and brilliant value for money

Food is good at reasonable prices. We ate here twice this week (August 26th & 29th) Service was great & staff were very polite. Will certainly go again.

We found this little pub only a few minutes from our campsite. It’s deceptive as it looks small from the road side but it is quite large inside. It does have accommodation and a large parking area at the back. Also there is a very large well kept garden at the rear.We did not have food but the food that was being served looked very good. Good local cask ales & local gins on offer. The cask was very well kept.We visited several times as the pub was lovely to visit.Would recommend.Nearby activities: Dunstanburgh Castle and the village of Craster. Walking and cycling. Route 1 of the cycling network runs past.Food & drinks: Very good local cask ale and gins.

Only visited for a couple of takeaway pizzas. These were freshly cooked very good although my Meat Feast had rather more chicken than expected and no pepperoni! £20 for two pizzas was not bad value. If you want to eat in booking would be recommended, based on the number of tables reserved. Rest of the menu looked good value.

Just had a meal here. Fantastic home cooked food, good portions at good prices. Staff really nice not really much else to say but would definitely recommend if you like pub food well presented.

It's a Gem of a place to stay. Welcoming, Clean, Nice Rooms, Good Food and Good Beer in a beautiful location. Lovely independent hotel with large car park. It was the second time we've stayed and we'll be back again sometime.

My step daughter, myself and her small dog stayed here for one night in July. We were made very welcome, the room whilst quite tired was comfortable. Nice bedding and fluffy white towels with enough toiletries for us both it was adequate for our needs. Our evening meal was delicious, we both had a small portion of fish, chips & mushy peas so we had room for dessert. Couldn't fault it & staff are very helpful & friendly. Our breakfast the next morning was equally as good with excellent poached eggs. It's a lovely out of the way small hotel in a lovely wooded setting and near to the very picturesque resort of Craster. We hope to return.

Good food at very reasonable prices. Not a very extensive menu but I like that. Very efficient and pleasant service.
