My husband and I ate here last evening and had a well cooked and well presented Sunday roast, beef for my husband, turkey for me. Meat was good and vegetables good too, perfectly cooked green veg served al dente, just the way I like them.Great ambience and great service, particularly from Willow and Tom who waited on our table. Highly RecommendedWe enjoyed it so much on Sunday that we returned on Tuesday evening!! Again, good food and service. Special thanks to our waitress, Sarena.Food & drinks: Sunday roast we had was top notch

Best Sunday lunch we've ever had. You need to book, but you won't be disappointed. Have never posted a review but just had to, shouldn't keep this secret.

Lovely pub, lots of character, friendly staff. Good selection of beers and real ale including Alnwick IPA. Great selection of food, including burgers, steaks, curry, scampi and deserts all at reasonable prices. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in Alnwick.

After a lovely day at the nearby castle we stopped off for some dinner. It was beautiful the kids had a hotdog and chips and a steak and chips for me. All came as requested and the atmosphere and staff were very friendly. I would recommend you come here. Very responsibly prices for what you get. All clean plates at the end. See you soon ??Nearby activities: Very close to the castle and other little independent shops. Nice location

The food here was lovely, the atmosphere is warm. I had the buttery chicken bun and the lemon cake with honey drizzle and raspberries. I recommend saving room for dessert. It came out warm and was perfect with the vanilla ice-cream. We came here after we visited Alnwick, and it was a great ending to our day. I recommend stopping by!

Great pub/restaurant with interesting history!Nipped by to grab a bite to eat and have a quick drink. Service was quick and efficient. The food was fantastic and speedy and the drinks were spot on. They had some Harry Potter mocktails as well whoch was cool to see.Baby friendly (has a changing room) and also has high chairs for kids. Would definitely come back!

Great food and drink, fantastic atmosphere, friendly service, good portion sizes and has children's menu. What more could you want? We loved it so much we went twice in the same week whilst on holiday in Alnwick. Was busy and recommend booking but very easy to do online.

Really enjoyed our visit. Was recommended this place by family and it did not disappoint. We booked in advance and I had the Lamb roast. Brilliant food, tasted great and a really good portion size making it excellent value for money. Good choice of beers on tap too.Food & drinks: Really great menu with so many good things to choose from, and superb value for money in my opinion

I had high hopes for the Dirty Bottles after seeing the reviews but honestly was a little disappointed. Had a booking at 7:45 on a Sunday evening and despite claiming to serve until 9:30pm every day, everything felt very hurried. Only one member of staff was welcoming, and the general environment was a bit hostile and lacklustre. They'd run out of the Sunday roast which was unfortunate but understandable at the end of a day on a Sunday, but they didn't tell us about this until we tried to order - usual courtesy is to let people know if anything is sold out when menus are given out. We ended up having scampi and chips which was ok - they had the usual pub grub though I'd perhaps expect a better quality of food for some of the prices. Overall, the experience was fine, although there are plenty of other places to eat and drink in Alnwick with much better service and higher food standards.

Walking through Alnwick earlier today popping in and out of eateries looking for a spot of late lunch. We finally find the Dirty Bottles and get a table in the afternoon sun. First real problem was selecting something off the menu, everything just looked Ike’s so good, wife went for the smoked pork rib, smoked brisket, skins and sticky smoked pit beans. I went for the smoked brisket, buffalo wings, burned ends and sticky smoked pit beans. Washed down with a drink or two… What can I say, absolutely fantastic, way too much for us in the end but what a great meal.
