Had a nice meal after walking to the castle, staff very friendly and helpful, our dog was welcomed and given a bowl of water, would definitely recommend the Sunday roast.

A hidden gem that we found by accident. It was an impulse stop for a pit stop that turned into an excellent evening meal and a relaxing couple of hours. Try the Cod. The staff were helpful and pleasant.Parking: Limited throughout the whole village. There is a tourist car park on the edge, we were lucky to grab a space at the pub.

Wow! Possibly one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Gorgeous location, dog friendly in the bar with a dog menu! Beautiful beer garden if you have the weather, but very cosy in the bar area too with a roaring fire. The fish pie was amazing and to die for ?? followed by the walnut tart which was also delicious. Staff were very very friendly and welcoming and we had a lovely time. Would definitely recommend and return!

Amazing crab sandwich .

You are not allowed to sit inside this “pub” unless you are eating, therefore end up freezing. No vegetarian option on the menu, extremely unusual nowadays. They did do us a cheese toasty on white sliced bread. Very disappointing.

My wife and I enjoyed a beautiful platter style lunch at the jolly fisherman overlooking the sea, we will definitely return. The service was fantastic, the views idyllic, the food beautiful and very reasonably priced. We will remember to book well in advance next time as we were very lucky to get a cancellation this time. Keep up the great work.

We called in unexpectedly after a long, cold windy walk. The atmosphere and menu enticed us to stay and eat. What a triumph. Gorgeous food, which we're still talking about, fab ambience, friendly service and downright great experience.

The bar was very busy as always, we couldn't get a table so we sat at the end of the bar, not the most comfortable place to eat lunch? I advise booking in future but if prepared to wait you will eventually get a table. Excellent pub, well worth a visit ?

We parked up at Craster car park ,beware there was no phone signal so you can pay by cash or wireless contact . Probably allow 3 hours to walk the coastal path, which is gorgeous if not very windy. Dunstanburgh Castle Walk is a must, and so is the pub in Craster, it makes the most of the location and has a fantastic fish restaurant . I wanted a fast meal so went for sandwiches and wasn't disappointed. The Oak smoked fresh salmon was 'bostin'. Also, the fresh Crab was also good , we shared half each to experience both. The pub had a good vibe with plenty of customers and dogs.I would definitely recommend this place for a seafood meal.Parking: Don't think you can park close to the pub , you can't. However, there is a large public carpark 5 minute walk away.
