“Amazing place to stay. Lovely big room. Comfortable super king bed. Bathroom was sparkling clean and fresh. Service was excellent and staff really helpful and caring. The breakfast was delicious; perfectly cooked poached eggs on my eggs Benedict. Sunday lunch looked amazing with enormous Yorkshire puds, but sadly we hadn’t booked. We will definitely be back.”

“Sad decline of this once great eating house and pub. The manageress is lovely and always has a smile and a welcome.she has worked here a while and is the only thing going for the place. Sadly that's where it ends... the waiting staff walk round with faces as wet as the recent weather. The place has the atmosphere of a morgue. Been using the castle for 13 years and Ronnie had a fantastic operation. The menu was good and reasonably priced. What a loss to Bamburgh.”
