We stopped for a coffee and cake. It was ok. Think they need to send in the distress team. Especially for the toilets, very grubby, in need of a deep clean. Staff well helpful enough.

GREAT CHOICE OF SWEET/SAVOURY TREATS. GOOD CUPPA (LATTE). UNFORTUNATELY THERE WAS HUGE COBWEBS HANGING DOWN AND NEEDED A GOOD DUST AS WELL. TOILETS WERE NEEDING A GOOD THOUROUGH CLEAN AND PAINT.Parking: Parking available by Home bargains 5 mins walk away. If you are a visitor you will need to buy a Northumberland disc zone for £1 from the pay and display machine. This is for 2hrs which is fantastic.

Caffè Nero is a chain, never outstanding, rarely poor.

The staff made our little pug Bella very welcome. It's great that Caffe Nero allows dogs. After watching rare seabirds and seals on the river Tweed we were able to escape the rain, enjoy yummy coffee, lunch and cake, and relax with Bella. Many thanks - we'll back. Five woofs from Bella! ? ??

Pleasant, friendly staff, dog friendly, and a great selection of quality coffee. Also an excellent choice of both savoury and sweet snacks. Plenty of room, and pleasant, inobtrusive background music, either light classical or cool jazz. There's even a free library. One of our favourite watering holes in bonny Berwick. Highly recommended.

no longer supporting this business after they lied to the RSPCA about a bird trapped in their roof. It unfortunately died a slow and distressing death.

Very distressing. Saw a bird cruely trapped in netting on the roof of Cafe Nero. It was hanging there starving to death over a number of days in the sun. Reported to the management on Friday, it is now Tuesday and nothing has been done. The bird is now dead leaving fledglings on the roof with no food. BY LAW IF NETTING MUST BE USED (DESPITE THERE BEING MANY OTHER OPTIONS) TO DETER BIRDS YOU MUST NOT ALLOW THEM TO BECOME TRAPPED AND ENTANGLED - LEADING TO SLOW AND PAINFUL STARVATION AND DEATH. It is breaking the law to deter or damage or cause harm to nesting birds. WILDLIFE ACT 1981

Comfortable seats, great ambience and a braw cuppa into the bargain. Well worth dropping into if you need a break to recharge the batteries.
