Made several attempts to call and reserve a table for Sunday lunch, but the phone went unanswered. The website also lacked an option to make table reservations.

Without hesitation, I would say this is the best steak pie I've ever had.Unbelievably tasty. The meat still had a pink tinge to it. I'm not even sure how that's possible when put into a pie dish.My little boy and better half both had the roast beef Sunday roast. Luckily for me, the wee man never ate all his, so I got to taste it.The roast beef was cooked to perfection. I've had this same dish at many restaurants, but this was by far the most flavourful and tender beef I've tasted served in this fashion. The vegetables were delicious and again cooked perfectly. The waitress even made extra Brocoli for the little man because he said it was his favourite. The service here was great and the staff were lovely. The only thing wrong I would say if I was nit picking is that the background music of the place was very quiet. This meant that if nobody else in the restaurant was talking then everyone could hear what you say which can be a bit awkward sometimes.Overall I would highly recommend this place. Family friendly. Dog friendly. Nice quiet atmosphere. Great service. And exceptionally tasty food.If you are a haven caravan park regular or owner this is a must anytime you take a trip down to the caravan.

Just popped in (well sat outside to be fair) for a quick pint. Had a real ale on tap so that was a definite bonus. Food looked nice but we didn't try it as we weren't ready to eat whilst we were in there. Very friendly and pleasant. Would go back and try the food given the opportunity. Quaint and old fashioned building.

We did not stay, just popped in for some lunch. First place that says dog friendly where the dog was aloud inside. Waitresses were great and one brought water and treats for the dog when we sat down. Our food was good and the soup was lovely. Great little spot would recommend.

Tucked away at the bottom of Berwick town centre, just past Bridge you'll find Sand Gate home of The Queens Head Hotel. At first unassuming from the street, once stepping inside you'll feel the fabulous ambience of the restaurant and bar. The stove fire place sitting in its brick surround, the low ceilings and exposed wooden beams really give a sense of the history of the building and make you realise what a cosy welcoming establishment you've walked in to.The food is great value for money with classic pub dishes such as steak pie, fish & chips and Sunday Roast Dinners among many others. The portions were very generous and always served with a smile from the lovely, helpful staff. For people who like a lighter bite or any kids dining with you there's a section of the menu offering smaller portions of all the delicious main meals. There are many places to eat in Berwick but this is definitely one to make sure you visit.

We happened to dine at the Queen's Head on a Sunday and were treated to their Sunday roast of either lamb, pork or beef. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. We even had a choice of doneness on the beef. Our server was charming and the sticky toffee pudding rated 11 out of 10. Highly recommend.

Can’t comment on the rooms, just had dinner in the restaurant. Really great food and friendly, quick service. Classic menu of just good food, nothing too fancy. I had sausage and mash with a pint of local ale followed by sticky toffee pudding. Exactly what I needed after a local hike. Thoroughly recommend.

An excellent dog-friendly pub in the middle of Berwick. A little bowl of treats was immediately brought over for my dog and even though the kitchen was rammed with a group booking, they let us perch on a table in the smaller dining room and served us a delicious meal. We went back later for a drink in their lovely bar. This is what dog-friendly looks like, other venues should take note.
