Many years since doing the curry train but very impressed , you can go on train from Newcastle organised by restaurant complete with cobra or Prosecco while on way and they take your order so it is ready on arrival but don’t be fooled the restaurant is first class , high quality fine dining indian with great service , a fairly large restaurant was full which reflects the quality , highly recommended

Expectations were raised by friends and colleagues ahead of my visit. On arrival building, setting, decor all very nice. Unfortunately the rest was underwhelming. Extensive menu but I struggled to identify what I wanted for main. Descriptions of the specials on the menu could have been better. I asked for a recommendation and they said go for a ‘classic’ dish like patia or madras which I thought was strange. Keema nan was good (although doughy and not hot), main dish was good. Kebab starter a little cold and bland but good. It was all just good but not ‘very’ good. I much prefer Zyka in Hexham which I gave 5 star.

Booked a table of 4 to celebrate my graduation and I have to say the restaurant did not disappoint. Food was amazing, we were absolutely full by the end. The service was very polite and attentive. It was also the first time my parents had Indian food and they were very impressed. We will definitely come back and would recommend it to out friend and family.
The best Indian food I have ever tasted. Service is tremendous and I can't imagine going anywhere else for quality food.

I attended here with my wife and eight-year-old son as part of her birthday present. Curry train experience. I will comment mainly on the restaurant but the whole curry tree and experience was really fun overall. You arrive at the restaurant which is essentially built into the station at Corbridge. The restaurant itself is really cosy with a roaring fireplace and really attentive professional waiters. The food was absolutely exceptional. From the starters mains and deserts we were incredibly impressed. The portion sizes were really generous and overall the price was really reasonable. The staff were super attentive and friendly throughout. They made us feel right at home. After the meal we were worrying about getting across to the platform edge assuming we would take the same route that we took when initially arriving. With only a couple of minutes to go until the train was due the restaurant door opened and we were there literally on the platform. It was so funny and a bit of magical experience overall We will definitely do this again.

I was bought the curry train experience as a Christmas present and it didn’t disappoint. Staff meeting us at the station were very attentive and friendly - food was delicious and loads of different options to try. Restaurant had a great atmosphere, excellent service - would definitely go again!
