We booked a table of 9 for my parents wedding anniversary at The Wellington. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and very attentive. We all really enjoyed ourselves.

I booked a table for a baby shower and we were given a nice big table in the restaurant where it was quieter and the staff kindly let us decorate the area. The service was great as was the food, especially the deserts! Thank you ?

We stopped for lunch after our spa day at Slaley Hall. This was last minute we were so pleasantly surprised. Amazing decor, staff Helen & David were 10/10 & the food was absolutely amazing. 2 lunch meals & 2 drinks less than £30 great value. Definitely be returning!!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We would definitely recommend the 7 hour slow cooked beef and the steak and ale pies ☺️

Booked a large event, which the pub cancelled without informing us. We only found out when we went in three days before the date. They claimed they didn’t know how to contact us, even though we left two mobile numbers and an email. On discussion with the Riding Mill community, this was not an isolated incident. I have also since learnt that a lot of the food is microwaved in bag before service. Really disappointed in an establishment that should be supportive of our small community.
