A friendly pub, publican and local customers. We went in looking for a sandwich or snack with a pint but unfortunately no food was served in the pub. The landlord was quite happy to let us bring in some food from the local Greggs and eat that with our drinks. Thanks. A good choice of beers, too.

Stopped in here to watch the Calcutta Cup on the way back from Newcastle. The staff and patrons were incredibly welcoming and drinks were super cheap. Great wee bar with lots of spirit.
