Went for carvery on a Sunday which was nowhere near standards of other eateries and over priced. Received a parking fine of £100 for parking in their car park so even more disappointment.

Poor service, undercooked pie, overcooked steak, overcooked chicken burger and some food never arrived.
Food very disappointing and underwhelming. Paid £85 and waited @ 45 mins for 6 simple bar meals which would gave been fine if all looked like homemade or freshly prepared but all but 1 (the kfc burger which did look tasty with proper chicken breast) looked and tasted like just warmed up in microwave and very dry. Lasagne hardly had any meat in it . 3 of meals had asked for mushy peas and got garden peas when arrived. Had to ask for cutlery and condiments after food arrived as none out. No one hardly in place and never saw anyone else eating on a Sat night and no one came back to ask how food was which should have maybe been a sign. Visit Amble regularly as family here and was meant to be my treat for them eating out (and they didn't want me to complain and cause a fuss as main thing was us all been out together ) but won't be returning for food here unfortunately as felt poor quality and value for money.

We only stayed 1 night in the carpark in our campervan ?, but had 2 meals in the pub.. Sadly, we were OVERCHARGED untill I complained to the owner/manager, but he was still adamant that the price was right.. Eventually, after pointing out HIS pricing mistake on the menu, we had almost £5 refunded.. Make Ur own mind up IF u'd go eat there..?? ☹️Food & drinks: Overcharged, but eventually had almost £5 refunded..!!
